Hey everyone-I've been lurking for a while and finding lots of good information here. I'm picking up a new 2018 GX 460 Luxury in Silver/Sepia with Driver's Assistance Package tomorrow-Looking forward to the vehicle and lots of future conversations on here. Upgrading from a Toyota Tacoma pickup which I'm admittedly reluctant to part with, but need more room for the family and some luxury in my life. Originally looked into a 4Runner, but there just wasn't enough headroom for a tall guy like me.
Best,
HR

Wife and I picked up our first Lexus - CPO 2016 GX 460 Premium black/black with 18k miles. Quite a step up from the 2007 Honda minivan with 180k miles. It came with the factory hitch, but will be getting some cross bars for the roof rails and some floor liners. No pics as its been raining since we picked it up - its does great in the rain though. So far we love it.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy it! You will also find several posts about floor liners. I went with Weather Tech (WT).

Thanks for the feedback. I had Weather Tech mats (not liners) in 2 previous cars. For the GX did you get the WT cargo area too or the 2 piece Lexus version? Can the Lexus version stay in with the 3rd row up?

The Lexus cargo is two pieces and the small one stays when you have the third row up.
I have WT cargo and wish I had gone with the Lexus one.

Yeah, what Soup said, I have to pull my (WT) cargo mat out every time I have the third row seats up.

Newwwwbie!
Hello! I just purchased a 2015 GX460 luxury and I am super excited!
It is silver with black interior and has 68k miles on it. My family has always owned Lexus vehicle and they have proven to be extremely reliable. I was deciding between a Tahoe/Yukon or the GX460 but I was eventually sold on the Lexus CPO program.
I previoulsy owned an FJ Cruiser that I used to to roof top tent camp and to pull my side by side. I’m hoping to add a roof rack so I may continue to utilize my RTT.
Also, due to my GX460 being a luxury model I will have to look into adding the tow package to this vehicle.
All in all very excited about my purchase!

Hello GX and good bye to 4Runner
After having tremendous fun owning (since 2007) and modding (since 2015) my 2003 V8 2WD SR5 @ 191,198 miles, I knew that I had to move on to a real 4WD or All-WD - always wanted one. Sadly today, I drove down to San Diego and parted with my pride and joy, sold it (more like gave away) to my GF's brother-in-law, a great guy. I know he truly enjoys it, really wants it, and can really use it for the family with 3 little boys. Sad but happy it goes to a family who will keep it...at least I can still see and drive it.
Farewell, my old friend...
Hello, my new pal...2015 Lexus GX Base AWD, loaded, with Sunroof (always wanted one)! CPO with only 30K miles, 3 years full warranty remain, and 20K Mike's with 4 free services, which ever comes first. (something like that.) plus brand new brakes and tires!
Day 1...Welcome home
Day 2, 3, 4...Party in Vegas
Day 7...Here we go again...
It's amazing: on the 2WD 4Runner, I had 1" BL, 3" Suspension Spacers, & 2.5" Bilstein suspension lift + bigger tires. And all that for the SAME HEIGHT as the AWD GX 460 with only 2.5" Leveling Kit/Spacer Lift + not as big tires. GX is absolutely AMAZING! Super quiet, smooth comfortable ride (almost seasick!), and plenty of torque and HP (just shift 4th/3rd gear for up hill and passing for this heavy, gas guzzling BEAST!)
So, passed the Torch today.
