After 6 months of deliberating, researching, stressing, I finally made the jump from my 03 LX 470 with 290k miles to a 2014 GX Premium with 88k! Drove yesterday from Charleston to Ocala, FL to pick it up. It was the sales manager's car and was absolutely pristine - you could have eaten off the undercarriage.
One weird problem popped up on the drive home last night though - anytime I come to a stop, the parking sensor alarm goes off and I get a malfunction message saying to contact the dealer. During the test drive and inspection, it never happened. The only difference is that is was raining when the problem started. Anyone run into that before?
I'd contact the dealer tomorrow morning and ask them to help you out with parts and labor at local dealer to resolve it, the worst they can do is say no...

thanks for the input y’all, it actually turned out to be a corroded battery terminal. Weird that it only caused issues with that one system. Cleaned it up this morning and the parking sensors are working again!
New to the Lexus brand and loving my new new ride!
Got a killer deal when I traded my 2017 Tacoma Trd sport. Just detailed it today and ceramic coated the exterior and also the leather with Car pro Cquartz leather coating.
Hello,
We just purchased our new to us 2015 GX 460.
After owning 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen 4runners, we decided to step up to the GX. I wanted the extra towing capacity for our boat and not being sure what the 6th gen 4Runner would offer, the GX checked all the boxes. Toyota reliability and Lexus quality, no way to go wrong.
This is a certified pre-owned, which is nearly immaculate and with the two year warranty, the deal was sealed.
Our GX is a luxury package with ecru interior. So far, we are very impressed with both the vehicle and the Lexus experience. Both are on a whole different level than Toyota. We still have the gen 4 4runner as a second car, it is still going strong after 14 years of reliable service.
Just picked up this 2016 GX460 last week! Searched around for a while until I could find the right one. I’m most excited about the possibilities of this vehicle and can’t can’t wait to take my son camping and off-roading.
Luxury
Black onyx / black semi-aniline interior
ML system
Fsport wheels
Heated steering wheel
Ordered the usual already. All weather mats and window deflectors.
Next on the list is lift spacers, bigger wheels and a roof rack. Figured I don’t need full suspension yet as im not adding that much weight to the GX.
Looking forward to learning a lot from this forum and members !
1. Model or pagkage - GX Premium 3. Color or the exterior and interior - White/Red 2. With Navigation 4. Option Packages or options - Wood steering wheel, headlamp washer, rear tonneau cover, all weather floor liners and tow hitch.
The first Lexus I owned was a 2013 RX350 and upgraded to a Infiniti QX 56. The QX was a beast and had plenty of space and power but was too big to enjoy.
Having owned the baby bear (RX 350) and the papa bear (QX56), I decided the momma bear was the right one for me.
I have owned the GX for just over a month now and I love everything about it. I never imagined I would enjoy driving a Lexus as all the previous cars I have owned and currently own are German.
The first thing I had to do was get rid of the mommy mobile tires and replace them with 275/70/18 KO2's, it has improved the look drastically and I have ordered the Ironman Nitro 2-3" lift kit and will hopefully get them in this week.
I look forward to being a member of this forum and taking part in any SoCal (Orange County) off road events.
hi Guys, new owner of a 2017 GX with 29K on the clock. Nebula Gray Pearl with Black leather / Premium Package with BSM. So glad to be back in a truck from the Rising Sun. Retired my Sequoia last March after 245K ( still sold it for $9K !) and like a dumb *** decided to try my hand at Wrangler ownership. What a mistake that was! From build quality , to goofy niggles and design elements it was a very unpleasant 8 months. Couldn't sell it fast enough . Long story short, didn't need the room the Sequoia had as kids are older now and I wanted a bit more refined ride as I enter into my second half century. Will be the wife's car during the week to putz around the Cape and mine on the weekend to take in the deep sand near the beach . Will be looking for recommendations on skid plate/ roof rails / roof basket with my fellow light use sanders. No major mods planned as I like her stock as she is absent the previous goodies I mentioned.
