Hey guys, new 2019 owner here. I've been spending the last few months modding my rig for overlanding and there is more to come. I am modeling the GXOR concept vehicle. Next up I'm pre-ordering the CBI stealth bumper and will also be installing an aluminum coastal offroad rear bumper with dual swing outs. Next up will be a custom goose gear rear drawer system install. Here is a current pic of my build.
A couple of observations and questions on my new 12 Premium. Driven about 5K miles last 2 years. Appears from service records at the dealership it was CPO'd but I didn't buy it CPO.
I passed on a 4K warranty, that buys a lot of service at my Indy. Now if it was a MB or BMW yes. I ordered a set of all weather Lexus floor mats. It has an aftermarket front grill that I will likely replace with either an original or F type this spring. I've noticed that when releasing the hood it doesn't really release up a little to get to the release.
Another observation to my old eyes is that the interior lights suck. I've sen the thread on led upgrades and may pursue that option. Just getting used to the differences between this one and my 05, wife said too many things to learn.
Hi all,
I've owned a 2005 GX470 pearl white with tan interior previously. Now we just purchased a 2016 Starfire Pearlearl Premium ecru interior 45k miles. Just in time for the Holidays so our family can enjoy the road trips.

Intuitive Park Assist
Remote Engine Start
Towing package
Exhaust tip
Lexus all weather front and rear mats
Perforated leather seat covers front and rear
Hi all, I’m Eddie. From Chicago and I Just recently purchased a 2010 gx 460 with 80kwhite with black interior, I’m unsure of the trim lvl (think it’s a non premium no airbag suspension)
so far I’m enjoying it (could use some power) still finding all the options so I’ll list them later.
Hoping to learn and trade ideas thanks all.
Hi all, I am Vlad, Orange County CA. Just got myself new project 2017 GX460 luxury CPO. Eventually it will be very modified for 4x4. Yes, I did homework about modifications, and it is waste of money to pay for adjustable suspension, which I will remove, but can't refuse to have other
features, which I like in this package. I am not afraid to get some scratches or dents, I wan use GX for it purpose.
My previous off-road project was 2001 Isuzu Trooper. I use it for 19 years, heavy modified almost everything and most of job I did by myself.
Old and new projects: https://photos.app.goo.gl/E7WqqPNkkin3G5yM9
So, will ask a lot of questions, especially on suspension mods.
Welcome!! My father is still driving around his garaged '93 Trooper he purchased new back in the day.

Hey guys, somewhat new here but didn't introduce myself. I purchased a 2019 in Sept and have been slowly building it into an overland vehicle. It should be complete by this summer -- still forthcoming Front/Rear bumper (CBI Covert Front and 4X4Labs rear w/ dual swingouts), front/rear cbi skids, baja designs light bars, and a goose gear drawer system.
Doug from Northwest Florida. Just found this forum; thanks for the add. Purchased a Starfire Pearl/Tan Interior Premium version new from an Atlanta GA Lexus dealer in May 2019. Closest dealer for service to me is in Mobile, Alabama. I considered the Luxury version but the primary driver is my wife and seriously doubt it makes it off the pavement very often for its intended purpose. I just did not see the value in the additional dollars for the expanded off-road capabilities that came with the Luxury version. I've recently added OEM Cross Bars and Chrome Exhaust tip as a do it yourself project and will be installing a trailer hitch in the near future. I hired a local firm to install ceramic window tint (huge difference in the Florida sun) and so far pleased with the investment. Going in for the 15K mile service in a few months and so far pleased with the vehicle. The only thing I've noticed is a softness in the brakes. Anyone else had the same feeling in their brakes. Look forward to the forum!
Long time lurker, finally took the plunge. Have to say thanks to the wealth of information on here and hopefully I'll be able to contribute.
2020 Premium with captains chairs. This is my first Lexus, traded my Raptor for the GX's reliability and capability. Initial plan is to do 17 inch wheels and tires and enjoy it (I already have 265/70/17 wildpeaks waiting for me to chose wheels).

Congratulations. You'll realize that as time goes on you'll learn to love it even more. Its overall a very capable, smooth and practical machine. It's also completely bulletproof. Enjoy your ride. Seeing yours makes me realize how much we'll miss ours when we surrender it in a few days.
I've posted a couple of times in the GX forum, guess I should give an introduction (even though I've been a member of CL for awhile as I had a 2014 IS350 previously).
I'm Lou, living in Warner Robins, Ga. Retired USAF. I traded my 2017 Tundra for 2020 GX460 Premium.
