They are totally different vehicles inside out and drivability. Imo, you should drive to see the differences. From my experiences...
RX: More modern interior and updated features, drives more like a sedan, more suitable for local drives. More fuel efficient
GX: Outdated interior and features, drives like a truck, good for off road, towing, long trip. Burns more gas.
Yesterday I took delivery of a 2021 GX460 Premium Plus Sport! Behold...
Less than 24 hours later, I received a "that's a beautiful car" from a random person on the street. I agree. Starfire Pearl with the Ecru interior.
My first actual new car in probably 20 years - and I intend to keep it for perhaps at least that long. Tints later this week, and fluid film application before its first winter here in Ohio.
I traded in a beloved Chrysler 300C after much hand wringing... (Mopar still holds significant nostalgic and sentimental value)

Congrats! That's a beautiful truck. This white/black wheels combo is the best for its contrast but the new 20", headlights and grill look nice on any color imo.

New to the forum! Joined the GX family a couple weekends ago, trading in our 4Runner Nightshade (for $500 less than what we paid for it)! Found the perfect GX draped in Atomic Silver and Rioja Red interior This V8 is amazing and a welcome change from the 4Runner. The only thing I miss about the 4Runner is the roll down rear window, which I've thought was cool since I was a kid. We saw a lot of cool places in the couple years we owned the 4Runner, but never took it through anything the Lexus couldn't also easily handle.
I'm a new lexus owner. I went from a 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium to a 2018 Lexus GX460 Premium! Its Pearl White with tan interior, it has Navigation! It's a lease, so small modifications are coming - examples: Exhaust, Led Lighting.
Back in a Lexus again (Had a 2001 IS300 5 speed back in the day) with a new to me 2017 GX460 Luxury. Certified, smooth and classy as HELL.
I've been a long time lurker on these forums while hunting for this truck, so a retroactive thank you for all the info I have read so far.

bought a 21’ gx premium few month ago
and wanted to de chrome everything and black everything out.
Im very happy with this gx.
next mods are getting sport scarlet tail light or wrap and cci red caliper covers.
That is a GORGEOUS GX. I LOVE the all black... so sweet!
