Yes, I also think the chrome strip looks better.

I've seen some GX's at the dealership with this chrome accent and it's nice.

What did they tell you about getting factory Moldings?
Sportwing only sell their own design. They are not affiliated with Toyota/Lexus. Thay are coming tomorrow. Will try to install them over the weekend and take some pictures and post them in DIY section.

Seen them installed at my dealer. They charge $399. I got those for $129. Will take some pictures when those arive. For sure are not as nice as factory, but help break the line in very empty doors.
I have bought the chrome moldings and sent them right back. DON'T BUY them. They are very nice, but looking closer at them the back is not curved like the door. It may look nice and professional from the top, but from the bottom, you have a nice gap. I drove to a local Lexus dealer to take a look how it is installed there, and they have the same problem. Glad I didn't buy them with the car as I would pissed. The installation requires using promoter which I am sure would be difficult to remove from the paint.

I'm glad you noticed before moving forward with the install.

Are you going to go with the OEM side moldings now?

Go with the Lexus moldings they cost more and are worth every penny.
Call Sewell lexus in Dallas and ask for Daryl that's where Wanna GX and I got ours.
They shipped mine to Florida.

Looks like the factory is the only way to go. I am glad I have noticed. I had the tape and measurements done and ready to glue.

You can order the side moldings on their web site for $779. Does anyone have a working discount code for Sewell? I found some 10 and 15% off but seem not to work anymore.

UPDATE
Spoke with Daryl. If you register on their web site and add your username from this forum the price goes down. You can order them for 562.48. Looks like side molding are coming my way.

Outstanding!
I was told some holes need to be drilled so a paper template should be created first, they don't just glue on.
My dealer handled the purchase from Sewell and did the install so I am not 100% sure about the install process.

I am extremely happy with my Lexus moldings worth every penny.

Let us know how it turns out.

I had also tried to use discount codes for the parts I needed to order.

Now I've registered and I can see the CL discounted prices!

Thanks for the tip!

Daryl at Sewell told me about this when I have asked if there are any codes he can share. They have put moldings on the web site, so anyone can order without talking to anyone.

My side molding are on order. Looks like Sewell is out of stock as they are backordered. Hopefully will get them soon.

Meantime this weekend I have installed the Valentine1 with conceled display. I have to say it was extremely easy comparing to previous installs in BMW 335i and GS350. Anyone can do it in 30 min including hard wiring into the cigarette lighter. The only part which sucks is that gx460 doesn't have the tint line at the top of winsdhield so I had make a nice small tint square so the suction cups are not visible from outside.

Luke.....

Sewell also shows a Remote Starter for $182.40 but I suspect that it has to be installed.

What information can you share on that ??

The remote starter does have to be installed. It was a port installed option, but can be done at any dealer. You will have to check the cost of labor.

Default Remote starter

I ordered a GX with a remote starter. How do you start the car with the remote that came with the car? Do they give you another remote to start the car? I hope not.
