Newbie
Hello all,
I am a GX 460 newb. I have driven Jeep Wranglers my whole life. My current Jeep is a 2021 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with a diesel engine. Love the engine, but just not really loving the rest of the vehicle, Stellantis quality just isn't there in my opinion and after 25 years of driving Jeeps I decided I wanted more comfort, something that is kinda quiet and something that is bulletproof. I have a 16 month old now and wanted a decent family hauler for road trips.
I have been working with the Sewell Lexus folks here in Fort Worth, TX and have money down on a 2022 GX 460 Luxury Edition with the Off-Road, Sports Package and Mark Levinson Sound System (for the wife). It is Caviar color and black on the inside. Dealer messaged me that the vehicle hit "the port" on 3/7 and is awaiting port processing. Said it usually takes 20-30 days to make it to the dealer after that. I am pretty excited. I will share pics once it arrives.

Hammer it nail. You will love the GX. My first 4WD vehicle was a new 1980 Chevy Blazer. I put 30 inch mud tires on it and drove it in all kinds of terrains. Power lines, mountain goat trails, deep snow, etc. It was a great truck but it was rough as a cob for comfort. Then I went to my first and last Ford Explorer when they first were manufactured. It was much more comfortable than the big blazer but the quality was not good. The transmission had to be replaced er 50K miles. Then that transmission had to be replaced after another 46K miles. Ford used the same tranny that was in the Pinto for the Explorer and the vehicle was just too heavy for this setup. I am a outdoors guy and loved 4 WD vehicles for hunting, fishing and of course trips to Home Depot, etc. When I could no longer get parts for the Explorer except salvage yards I sold it and bought my third Lexus which was a 2008 RX 350. My wife had a couple of Lexus ES's and after the ordeal I had with the Ford, I wanted luxury, good ride and although the RX was AWD ,it still was a good vehicle that served my purpose as I got older. Last year I realized I needed a bigger SUV when my BIL and I were lucky enough to harvest 2 bull elk. The RX was maxed out on that trip so I became the proud owner of a 2022 GX 460 Premium last December. I love everything about this truck and I find the ride very comfortable, especially on the freeway. It may ride a little rougher on pot hole rough roads than the RX but not that much. Consumer Reports rates the GX as the most dependable SUV in it's class which means a lot for me as I keep vehicles until the wheels (or transmission) fall off. You are going to love your GX and the color you are getting sounds great. Post some pics when you get it.

Nice. I went from a F150 Platinum 4x4 to my GX. For a few grand, you can update both btw!! Enjoy.

Glad to hear from a fellow Elk Hunter! I hunt out of unit 711 north of Dolores Colorado every year during the third rifle season. Hopefully this year I make the journey in the GX. It sounds like you run on a lot of the same kinds of roads that I run on. Did you upgrade your tires or anything yet or are you still rocking the stocks? Congrats on the two bull elk!

Driver School Candidate
I just picked up a '14 GX Luxury with ML stereo and DVD. I traded a '16 4Runner and love the transition. It's silver just like the Toyota I traded. I am so thrilled already.

2016 GX460 Luxury
Picked up a 2016 GX460 Luxury edition with around 100K KM. Lovely vehicle. Hopefully will be adding a lift kit, bigger tires and other things overtime.
Looking forwards to learning from this group.

hi every one !
New in town ( GX 460 club ) just drove 250 miles from the bay area to a little town got my used 2016 GX 460 Luxury with 52000 miles on it . say interior 9 out of 10 clean, exterior 9 out of 10. Got everything except the rear seats DVD system .
just sold my Toyota Alphard MZ van , had that for 12 years , also sold the Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution 2 years ago . Main reason to get the GX model is like to drive long trip, and NO MORE right hand drive vehicle !!! Now the GX 460 is my daily ride , and I also have a 2018 Nissan GTR mostly sleeping in the elevator rack . ( drive only once every 3 to 4 weeks )
bout' the GX 460, just install the wheel spacers ,they are 1.25 tick ! other than that , don't plan to do anything yet , also come with original Black gross rim , looks great on the StarFire Pearl exterior to me .
before adding the wheel spacers !

Don't know why my 2016 front camera only has 2 heads, view left and right front and right side ! my EX Alphard van ( from Toyota ) had 3 heads, front left, front ( for curb distance viewing ) right ! and it was 2003 Model !!!
