I am still getting 12 mpg city driving and honestly it is bothering me as my expectation was 17 mpg combined. I was getting better mpg (15 mpg) on my BMW M3 with V8 engine (revving it at 8K rpm daily) than my GX

I am running around 18 in the city and 20-21 on the highway. I’m happy with that.

Not great but better than the 470. Have both vehicles in the family.

24.9 MPG until I hit traffic. About 18 miles. This was without any tailwind, NJ rolling hills, and on AT tires. Ceratec. Awesome considering what I was getting before. You do need to slow down a little get this. I was averaging between 55 - 65 MPH.

Before and after using Ceratec anti friction modifier. Well, I should say really after. I'm also noticing a three to four mile per gallon increase in my Optima PHEV using the same product. To achieve that mileage in the GX I did have to drive rather slow.

Have around 1200 miles on the truck and averaging around 17.5mpg so far. Been using costco 93octane gas all through.

She is a dog in stop and go traffic. Not much can be done about that. While off roading I'm surprised no can still get about 17 out of her

I get 18 MPG in a low traffic small town on 87 octane. Engine is 100k miles and runs perfectly.

Not sure how long you have been running 87 but I would not suggest not too. It has been shown that prolonged use can lead to premature failure of the catalytic converters. The engine pulls timing to prevent pre-detonation and this leads to less then ideal combustion. Unburned fuel hits the cats and will eventually ruin them.

Owner’s manual says you can use 87 (91 RON). Manual only says that negative effects will be caused if you use lower than that. These cars have been on the road for 10 years and are sold in several continents, some were gas quality is pretty bad. I think if there were any serious issues derived from using 91 RON we would know by now.

Default Real-world MPG

So just curious--what kind of real-world MPG are you getting? Not the best you've ever gotten, but the average shlep-to-work-and-back-errands-on-the-weekend mileage?

Don't have a Lexus yet, but I'm getting 18-19 (closer to 18) with my '11 M-B ML350. This is pretty close to a 50-50 split of city and highway and I try to be as economical as I can.
