I don't have my GX anymore, but for sure that is wrong. All four sockets are the same.

You may want to check inside the panel where the light was, There is the possibility of light socket assemble has separated from the cover which is held by multiple small taps. If the taps were broken, it could fell off inside panel. Just look the other ones, they are all the same. In order to change the original light bulb, you will need to take the socket off the cover anyway. Unless if you bought the car had previous owner and had worked on it and somehow broke of the socket and didn't replace it.
Test fit some Nfab nerf bars from a 5th Gen 4Runner today. They fit but I'm not super stoked w/ the gap so I'm going to end up just going stepless for now until I figure out a slider. I'm probably going to cut my running boards to essentially make a rocker cover as well.
Settled on no bars and cut the running boards to cover the gap .
Also what are your thoughts on additional damage if you accidentally bash that bull bar? I realize it is protecting bumper but I thought I've heard some state it will cause some further mount damage underneath where it is attached to frame.

I'm running RCI steel black powder coated skid plates, front to rear (transmission piece finally arrived).
As for the front bull bar, you've heard correct. It is often referred to as a damage multiplier and provides no real protection. I'm OK'd with it. I used it mainly to mount the front LED light bar and as a temporary bolt-on look for now. Ive also reinforced the mount with 1/4" thick steel plate and raised another 2_1/2" to provide more ground clearance. Just don't rear end anyone! Whenever a new off-road full metal bumper comes out for 14+ model, I'll replace and install one. Recently, I went off-road on Wheeler's Pass in NV (in pic) and had no problems at all and with plenty of clearance.
Thanks! Good to see confirmed fit. I've only got my Budbuilt tank skid on now. I'm waiting till they come out with the re-engineered front skid later this summer that will allow seamless oil filter access. I see the RCI is like Budbuilt's 4R version and access panel is where the vertical filter is located on that engine. Not a big deal to drop the skid but I'm just looking to make the home maintenance even simpler.
Does that RCI use the additional crossmember like Budbuilt does?
Our rear crossmember for the 5th generation 4Runners is designed to support the back end of our transmission skid plate, and then attach to our fuel tank skid
This reinforced steel crossmember is no exception, providing sturdy support when you need it most. It acts like a cross brace to the rest of your skid plates"
Yes, heavy duty 3/16" steel cross member is included to bolt to the frame, and the transfer case skid plate is bolted on top. I'm glad I had mine installed just before the last trail venture. I hit some rocks a couple of times but the heavy duty steel skid plates only showed some dirt residue from the impact, no dents or scrapes. Also glad got the heavy duty steel instead of the softer aluminum, the weight saving is negligible to me - the primary purpose is protection. https://rcimetalworks.com/10-18-4Run...R-10-13-03.htm
Has anyone installed LED strip DRL lights on 2010-2013 that resemble the headlights on 2014+? I would like the added safety benefit and look of the white strips just under the headlights but only if it’s a clean professional OEM look. Pics would be great too.
Unfortunately I don’t see a good clean way to make this look OEM. I did replace my DRL with LEDs and I am happy with them.
I agree with added safety, having black cars for years it is easy to not be seen by other drivers.
Where did you get this Prado tail lights from. I really liked your build
Thanks From Japan. Real stuff, there's Chinese imitation ones also. Here's latest mods done. Still waiting for rock sliders and rear steel bumper with tire and Jerry can carriers.
