I'm giving some serious thought to ordering the GX460 Premium, but none of the dealerships near me have any of the options/colors that I want. For those of you who ordered your GX, how long did it take for delivery of the vehicle?

Have your dealer check inventory at the different ports. My dealer was able to search for the color and options I wanted and did a port trade. It will be much faster than ordering... My vehicle came from the port in Portland, OR.

Thanks for the input, I was wondering the same thing. I'm thinking of ordering the GX since I want the pre-collision, wide view camera, lane departure, etc on it.

I'm looking for either a starfire pearl or a Onyx Premium with ecru interior and Nav/ML.

Yes, those options most likely will require a special order.

That combination should not be too hard to find. As Craig mentioned, you may want to ask your dealer about a port trade.

I'm curious, what is the deal when you order a vehicle regarding a trade in. Obviously I don't want to purchase from a dealer if I'm getting stiffed on my trade.

For those of you who ordered, and had a trade in:

Did you come to an agreement on your trade in value before you ordered the vehicle? How did it work out for you?

Yes, we agreed on a price for my trade in after they located my vehicle. I did this all over the phone, but they had to look at my trade when I came to pick up my new vehicle. The dealership was 3 hours away from my home, so I didn't want to go there for them just to look over my trade in. It's hard for someone to tell you what your trade is worth without being able to look at it. My trade was only a year old with 6000 miles on it in perfect condition.

Yes, I negotiated the trade-in value before ordering the new GX.

It worked out great. No surprises at the time of delivery.

one dealer told me special order would be 3-4 months (like the 4runner, here i go again)...another told me 6 weeks. dont know what to believe.

Mine took 2 months, from the day I placed my order, to the day I picked it up at the dealership.

I ordered my GX premium with the wideview/pre-collision/driver attention monitor at the end of March. I took delivery early June; but you have to keep in mind that there was a week or two that they stopped production to address the VSC issue. By the way, the paint was flawless.
