I don't think that's comparable? OEM all weather mats don't contain fibers -- they are all rubber. You don't want any fibers on all weather mats. This seems to be more comparable to regular OEM carpeted mats.

Not comparable to the all weather mats but those mats are awesome! They only make them for the LS, GX and I believe the LX, but I've seen them in the LS and they are a huge upgrade. I'd buy them in an instant if they made them for the GS.

You wouldn't want to use them where I live in the winter, they would be ruined with the first snow.

Not a replacement for winter mats, even here. They're good weather mats! haha.

Pilewise they are similar to Lloyd Luxe mats:

I'd rather have the OEM Lexus ones for the Lexus logo though. I had the Lloyd mats in my '03 ES.

The 2014 AW Mats from Lexus are different. I inquired with Sewell today and received a part number PT908-60140-20. This is different from the 2013 and back. I'm going to hold off on the Lexus ones right now I think and wait to see what the Weather Tech reviews are.

I've put the entire set yesterday and I think it's awesome and OEM AW are not even close.

Things that matter most for me:

1. They go up the carpet sides. Edge of the mat actually covers part of the door sill. When you take out OEM Lexus mats you can't help but think how small and flat they are. Lexus mats is like you do move left or move right with your feet and all the stuff is on the carpet now ;-)
2. The second row is a single piece. I often have people entering from one size of the vehicle and it helps a lot by keeping center carpet part clean. It is very nicely sculpted and even goes up the sides of the center console part you have at the back!
3. Same for the cargo mat -- the sides actually go up a bit.

The only downside so far is these not as soft as OEM AW mats and their surface appears to be more slippery... OEM AW mats are kind of soft rubber and these are closer to plastic by their density. But supposedly it also makes them more reliable.

We already got some snow yesterday and I'm very happy I have them inside.

They are different, the factory front all weather mats lock into place. My other mats had hooks to hold them in place. Mine came with both all weather and carpeted mats.

I ended up ordering a set of black weathertechs, should be here tomorrow 😃

For the cargo area weathertech mat, does it interfere with the use of the 3rd row seats? The OEM all weather cargo mat seem to be 2 pieces to facilitate folding up of the 3rd row seats.

Yes it does... At least the one I've got. It is one single piece. I never used 3rd row and folded them the first day I drove the truck home and it stayed that way since then. But I do see how it could be an issue if you want to use 3rd row.

I just got my black weathertechs today and put them in and they fit very well. However, the provided clips to hold the mats down don't seem to fit into the locking mechanism in the GX. Has anyone gotten the provided clips to work?

thanks

They changed the clips for the 2014 model. Mine came with both sets of mats from Lexus. I still have my weathertech mats from my 2010, but I'm using the Lexus all weather mats because they now lock in instead of using the hooks like on my 2010.

Anyone using Lloyds "Luxe" carpeted mats in their GX?

Just curious about how the feel, hold up, etc....

I had them in my 03 ES. I saw the car the other day and they are actually still in it, holding up great, they've been in there for 150,000 miles probably.

They are excellent mats. They don't make them for the AWD GS or I'd get a set.

I guess that's the reason Weathertech web site tells that mats are not available if you select 2014 model. The floor plan is the same but the clips are not. I haven't tried to unclip mines, not sure if they stay stable enough to be used without clips at all.
