Is this a GX460 Luxury? If so I suspect it is the air compressor for the rear air suspension. It is running to maintain the set height even with the vehicle off. Might be a sign that the rear air springs are leaking.
Pretty sure the compressor won't kick on after that amount of time to level the vehicle. Maybe within 1 min or so of shut down, but not much past that.
The buzzing sound is most likely your evap. Consider yourself lucky to have experienced such an amazing event occur!
A unicorn of a noise it is, this is my 6th Lexus 2 RX's, 1 LX, 1 GX, 1 LS, and a Prado.
I feel so privileged to have heard it, sort of a David Attenborough moment.
On mine, a clicking instead of a buzzing or humming.
The sound I heard on mine was a fast clicking noise - click, click, click, click, click, click.
Happened in the same place as described in this thread: left rear wheel well. I'm guessing the GX (2015 Premium) had been off a couple of hours. I couldn't isolate the sound source. I started the GX, backed it out of the garage and pulled back in. The sound had stopped.
What do you think: Is my clicking sound likely caused by the same thing described in this thread or is it a different mystery?

Confident it's the EVAP system. I heard it in my '23 GX and it did worry me but quickly found the answer in the threads. Never heard it again. It's Unicorn level to hear it.
This excerpt from the owners manual was posted earlier (a few years ago), but I am reposting here as it is in a different location in the 2023 GX Onwers Manual. My vehicle is a GX Premium WITHOUT the air suspension. So the noise (at least on my vehicle) is not related to any air suspension parts. On page 8 of the 2023 owners manual it states
Noise from under vehicle after turning off the engine: Approximately five hours after the engine is turned off, you may hear sound coming from under the vehicle for several minutes. This is the sound of a fuel evaporation leakage check and, it does not indicate a malfunction
