Default Looking to purchase 2012 GX 460

Hi,

Initially was looking to buy a Mercedes GL450 but was very disappointed with the interior (antiquated technology and amount of room in the second row). Recently looked at the GX460 and liked the interior much better. Received the following quote for the GX460 Premium with a few options:

MSRP $60,200
Buy for $54,500

Is this a good deal? Also not sure why the Premium package costs $5k. Doesn't look like there is a lot of value for the $5k. Insights are appreciated.

Thanks

its definitely worth it to get the premium. if you add up all options separately, you will see the premium saves you money. thats the way it was for 2010, and i doubt its any different for 2012

Looks like a good deal. If you were considering the Benz, the premium is well worth its features.

T4Fun,

Thanks for the input. Looking at the same color combination that you have. I guess I will go for the Premium.

I'm in the market for a new GX as well (after looking at so many USED GX470s and their outrageous pre-owned prices). What I want is Starfire Pearl with Sepia - Navi - ML - Park Assist and that's ALL.

Please let us know how you deal turns out. T hanks.

Looks like a good deal to me. When we bought our Range Rover last year, I went in expecting to get a deal. Little did I know that Land Rover does not discount them more than a grand...and many people pay full retail. We are considering a new GS350 F-Sport, which I have no problem paying close to retail for. I guess my expectations have changed regarding luxury vehicles and pricing. The higher the sale price, the higher the residual ought to be.

Here is an update:

I bought the 2012 GX 460 last night. MSRP of $61K and purchased for $55K plus bought the extended warranty to 100k miles for an additional $2K. Very happy with my purchase.

Never thought Im a suv/truck guy but for some reason I'm thinking for one. Possible age and thought of having a family...
Anyway, I heard another post that gx is/ possible having a face lift next year. Could I get some more input in regards? I thunk the front is too round and also wonder if they have aftermarket front lip that can make it slightly more aggressive.

They're coming out with a sport version this fall. If you want something different, I would wait for the 2013 model...
