Electrical problem cleared up on its own. Roof drains unclogged. #KeepOnCruising 🤗

The leaking gasoline loaner lit up a service message on way back to dealer. Service tech stated there is a recall on the RX350 🤦🏽‍♂️

Did you ever find the issue. I’m having the same problem with mine.

What are specifics on your vehicle? Year, anything replaced on the roof?

Only a few places water can come in and previously listed in thread.

Default Dash looks like a Christmas tree, No start after carwash

So, this is a head scratcher. Had the car towed because it was blocking the car wash exit so I can't plug in my scan tool but here are the symptoms:

The illuminated lights are...
Trac off
4lo (blinking)
Check eng.

Error messages are Low Engine oil pressure, transmission over temperature, and the coolant temp gauge is pegged at low.

I got a feeling that after the car sits in the lot until Tuesday that whatever got wet will dry out and make diagnosing the issue that much more difficult. Hopefully this is not the case.

It is sounding like water intrusion via potentially clogged moonroof drains.

If they are blocked water will overflow around sunroof drain area and head dow the A-pillars onto numerous ECUs.

A little water made it's way through the sunroof gasket and onto my passenger seat but surely the engineers at Lexus wouldn't put computers in a place where sunroof drain issues could cause that kind of damage.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first report of this occurring. It does drain down that route if water overflows.

It's part of my maintenance to check them. If one keeps vehicle outside I would probably pay more attention but mine is usually in the garage about 90% of the time.

Moonroof itself or shrunken gasket can allow more water in that can be channeled out by front drains but usually that would occur on an incline. That would be less likely with a carwash since you have the rear drains though.

I guess we will find out soon enough. My car lives outside most of the time and I've never had an issue. Of course I don't deal with the high pressure wash or the drying fans on a regular basis so those two could contribute. If I remember correctly the electrical is in the drivers side kick panel and the drivers side sunroof tray was dry. The only water intrusion was in the passenger side.

It's such an odd grouping of faults that It leads me to believe there is more than one issue. Maybe rodent damage? Thats a tough one as well given there was no noticeable water in the engine compartment.

The only shop I could find with a flatbed is the shop that got the job. I should know more by Tuesday. I plan on riding by tomorrow and seeing if I can start it though the gates with the remote start.

Just had a similar issue on my 2013 today. After a car wash, noticed the passenger side seat was wet. Water appears to me coming out of seat belt area and the headliner was a little wet. Opened up my sunroof and didnt see any apparent signs of water leaking it.

That could be coming in via one of the roof rail mounting bolt holes.

I'm hoping that is it because I took it to get washed because it's getting a new roof rack tomorrow from uptop overland. So if the stock roof rails are starting to leak it couldnt be a better time for it. Thanks for the quick reply Acrad.

So after getting the new aftermarket roof rack, still had water coming in. Turns out it's the seal around the sunroof. Have the dealer ordering a new one now.

Modern sunroofs by design are supposed to allow some water through the seal.

IMO: If dealer is going after sunroof seal then it would have to be defective enough to exceed the capacity of the 4 sunroof drains to handle volume of water coming through
