I'd throw some penetrating oil in there overnight before bolt extraction on the 4th one. Might help.
It's small enough and being a southern rig, I don't think it will put up too much of a fight. It's just sad that someone broke it in the first place. Will update this thread once I tackle it in case someone runs into it in the future.
Hello All...I just need your advice on what brand of 0w20 full synthetic oil for my gx460 '11 with almlst 70k miles in Northern California, the previous owner was running Valvoline maxlife 0w20, Im thinking about switching to Castrol or Pennzoil 0w20 (full synthetic) or it is better to stick to Valvoline maxlife?
No off roading and very light city driving averaging 600miles/ month.

I use Mobil1 Extended and Toyota oem filter. You can get a bundle of 10 filters for cheap on eBay.
Pennzoil Platium is nice too and I use that in my Odyssey because when it was on sale I couldn’t find 0-20W.
It shouldn’t be any issue with either brand.

The dealers gotta make the money as stated, plus they spread out the costs of either picking up your vehicle, giving you rides, or the loaner. And then there's the snacks, coffee , juice, soda etc.
If you have them pick it up while you're at work, or from your house, or you are just too busy, it can be a time saver and worth the $.
I do it myself to not have to schedule it out so far, and mostly so I know it's done properly and also then I see other things going on while i'm changing the oil.
I have not.
If I remember correctly too much oil can cause piston rings to blow.
Please correct if I'm wrong. AND I don't mean to scare you but you may want to do a little research to see if you need to purge any before putting too many miles on it.
