Yes, Interstate batteries are generally pretty good and the price is excellent from Costco.

I use Costco Interstate on all my other cars. They are very good battery with a nice warranty (40months replacement).
I thought 24F is 750 CCA while the OEM 27F is 710. The 27F has a better Reserve Capacity. The 24F is a bit taller and shorter.

I've got the Interstate Megatron Plus 27F in mine. I'm a fan of the MTP's overall, and run them in all our cars for the primary starting battery. That said, the one I have in the GX went in some time in 2016 and it's showing signs of deterioration. I've had to trickle charge it back to life twice in the last couple months. I guess they can't all be good....

Interstate MegaTron all the way ... they have a great warranty ... any failure short of the full warranty period is replaced via pro-ration ... no questions asked.

Kind of funny timing, I went out this afternoon to start up the 80 - also dead (MTP 27F). Secondary battery - also dead. I think the lack of exercise is taking its toll on my batteries; too much sitting parked at the house.

Nothing kills a battery faster than sitting idle and discharging.

Wish I had that option but I have to be in the field to make money. Mixed results with customers wearing mask and social distancing. I wear a mask and wish all did when I am in their home. Most do but it only takes one to infect my eyes when talking to me. Sucky times and really hope we get past this soon.

Sorry to bring this to a battery replacement thread Just a crazy time we are in.

Quick question - would it create any problem if I just disconnect the old battery and connect the new one (no voltage maintainers, etc) ? Its a 2015 model, base I believe.

No issues for me. I've disconnected the battery many times.

Just make sure you follow the Techstream article Acrad posted on the sticky with making sure everything has fallen asleep to avoid an abrupt outage.
