Finally sat in a GX460 and GX470
#16
Have owned a 2006 GX470 with KDSS and now a 2014 GX460 and without a doubt the 2014 is way more comfortable - not even close. I'm tall so the 470 could not get the seat back far enough and long drives killed me whereas the 460 has great seating. And the 460 is no way sluggish...just step on the skinny pedal.
Honestly though - both trucks are great and well built. I just prefer driving the '14.
I also have a '10 T4R fully modified - everything from front bumper to rear bumper - and the only thing it is missing is the V8 from the 460.

If you plan to offroad it, gotta do 470 for economic reasons. Crawl control makes a racket when in use much like downhill descent control, which is a big turn off for me. 470 is very dated now with its tape deck... 460 for family hauling and very mild offroad. 470 for offroad mods and use.
the brake assist I've noticed is a lot more seamless than older gens.

Best part about the 460 is the aftermarket support for the Prado overseas - anyway my simple view is the 460 > 470 (and I really liked the 470 - great, tough truck - would make a fun offroad ride)
