Got this from the Lexus SA yesterday:
1. Start car
2. Press the ODO/TRIP button to the left of the steering wheel.
3. Go to trip "1" (there are 3 meters), then turn off the ignition
4. While holding the ODO/TRIP button, and WITHOUT PRESSING THE BRAKE, push the ignition button twice, do not release the ODO/TRIP.
5. You'll see the Oil Maintenance dialogue in the center of the instrument cluster resetting. Release the ODO/TRIP when the dialogue is finished.
6. You're Done!
Reviving an old thread here - But thanks for the above info. The 2015 GX460 owners manual instructions to reset the maintenance required indicator are incorrect. Thanks to this forum & a quick search the procedure rockydog posted worked like a charm. Thanks
Your post works. The directions provided in the Lexus user manual on page 441 is different from yours and does not work. Thanks again for the clear post.
I just changed my oil 2 weeks ago and I still have this "oil maintenance required" on my dashboard. Does anyone know how to reset this? I've reset the all the maintenance on my NAV screen, but to no avail. Please help!

Another apology for ancient thread resurrection.... saw this on my GX this week and also thought it was from the nav settings. Thanks for info in thread!!
I find it hard to come hear and read and participate when the Mods would rather scold than give a two sentence answer.
Meh, I love the mincing of words. But then again, I love the military who "have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man... I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, ... I don't give a *damn* what you think you are entitled to!"
The foregoing was offered in jest to lighten the mood of an ancient thread and for any (like myself) who happen along long afterwards.
What exactly does the Maintenance Required message mean? I have 2014. I have read the manual, several times. In a loaner, which was a newer model, it said Oil Change, so I'm leaning toward that being what is needed on mine. I just want to ensure its not something more that needs to be hooked up to a computer.
Yes you can,
This is for 10-13 and i think it works on 14+ too
