Didn't have a chance to test drive due to snow fall we are getting. I hope the new one will not have any problems. I will pick it up tomorrow as I have asked to replace tires for Michelin from another truck. Also they need to move side moldings from my old one. Driving a demo meantime and it drives substantially better then my old one.

On a good note, I have worked out a deal with the GM to do a trade for identical interrior/exterior/specs 2011. Will be closing the deal tomorrow as I have asked them to move tires from other GX (didn't want Bridgestone), move the hitch (new doens't have one) and Premium model side moldings I have installed from my to the new one.
Too bad I don't have $1500 certificate some got. I think you get it if your car had a recall, or something.

Congratulations, Luke ... this is the best way to resolve the issue. Whatever is the problem with your current vehicle becomes Lexus' problem, you start over with a new vehicle ... also a 2011 model year ... and eventually someone will buy your current vehicle as a used 2010. Presumably, Lexus will have fixed the problem and if not, offered it "as is" at an attractive discount to the new owner.

I have 2010 460. The Lexus engineering department from Japan came into my dealership to tackle the vibration issue. My dealer had balanced, but when the engineering team came in, they balanced the tires/wheels in 4 ways vs. two that dealerships are equipped to do. My tires and wheels were outside of the tolerance levels for Lexus. In the end, they sent 4 tires and wheels from the engineering lab that that seemed to work just fine. I laughed (sorry) when I saw the 65 MPH thing because I could close my eyes and know I reached 65 because of the vibration! I hope they get it worked out for you because I understand your frustration. Cheers!

Is the truck perfectly smooth now or you still feel something from time to time?

Well it is not my problem anymore as I have traded for a 2011 GX. Looks like Lexus has a wheel design problem if it takes engineers to balance wheels and all of us will have a problem next time wheels are balanced or tires replaced.

As we are experiencing none of these problems and the brake and tire wear seems very uniform, perhaps our dealer avoided "borrowing trouble" by leaving things as they are. Time and wear will require us to rotate the wheels at the least and eventually to replace the tires, at which point we may experience these problems.

I no longer have the vibration issue after the wheel and tire replacement and the balancing. The engineers that balanced the wheels used equipment that my dealer does not have so I am not looking forward to replacing the tires. I have crap Bridgestone tires on mine...these are the worst tires that I have ever driven on and am worried about replacing them because I am afraid of the vibration issue resurfacing. I agree that Lexus has issues and I have been in contact with them several times directly because of their issues. If my 470 were still on the dealer lot I would take it back in a heartbeat. I never had these issues. Also, there is a jarring vibration if someone cuts you off when you are doing 65+ MPH with radar cruise control on. This has happened twice, but the engineers were unable to replicate so no resolution there.

I switched out my wheels and had my tires mounted and balanced at dealer without any problems. I traded for a set of factory wheels that were chrome PVD plated... I will only let my dealer balance my wheels after reading all the problems people have experienced. They use a Road Force machine at my dealer to balance wheels.

Luke, you're lucky they traded you out of your other vehicle. Now, it's not your problem...

I have a 2010 and I don't have this problem. Have they checked your wheels to see if they're balanced? Someone else had a bad rack and pinion that was causing this problem.
