My 2015 GX has the same problem, since I got it 3k ago.... it was a CPO and they replaced all the tires.
I'm 'assuming' it's a balance issue....
I'm going to have the dealer fix it at my 5k service/rotation.

Long story short, I bought a CPO and the vibration did not go away until I had the tires "road force" balanced. After the first normal balance the vibration went away at 60mph but came back at 70-75. Road force took care of it, it is possible the dealer does not have a road force machine so you may have to call around the high end tire dealers

Thank you... are these cars unusually difficult to balance?
Given the platform, I would think these are no-brainers....
oh, and is wheel balance covered under CPO/original warranty?

Default Are u getting bad vibrations at highway speeds?

so i just put new michelins on my gx. I had some shaking and vibration and thought it was tires and balance so swapped them.
Balanced the new tires twice and getting not steering wheel shaking but vibrations between 60 and 80. Its severe at times that it causes my empty passenger seat to shake.
My brakes are fine. I dont recall having this issue or maybe i didnt pay attention closer. I know others have had issues with shaking but my wheels are perfectly balanced and its not
the wheels. My steering wheel is fine. I even see the speedometer needle vibrating at highway speeds. This is driving me crazy.

I have the same... going to have the dealer re-balance and check tire at my next 5k service.
Car was a 2015 CPO with brand new tires.

Do you think it might be related to this transfer case issue? Although it sounds like that one only occurs in 5th gear.

Some have posted road force balance was needed to get this to go away as well.

It's not the wheels I know that. My gx is in 6th gear around 2000 rpm on highway and it's quite random it seems. The seat is oscillating next to me that's how bad it is. It's related to something rotational so I agree it could be transmission related. What ashamed. Hate to sell this just for this issue

Very different sets of symptoms, for me at least... both are annoying though.
I expect my "seat vibration" issue is wheel/tire balance related.

If it were wheel issue the steering wheel would be shaking too but it's not . I will be taking it in this week. If they can't fix it I will demand a new one or buy this back.

If its rear tire/wheel issue, your steering wheel won't shake. Sounds like it could be drive shaft related?

Keep us posted... I'm interested in this, as I too, think it's unacceptable.

They don't have loaner car this week. I will keep everyone posted. It will be in the shop in 2 Mondays from now due to my work schedule. Very disappointed in an otherwise wonderful suv

Did you have any other services performed when tires were put on? There are quite number of 4Runner threads (mainly older models though) about over-greased slip yokes on the driveshaft causing vibration in the speed range you stated in original post.

I had the same issue with my 2017 GX, vibrations and road noise around 60 mph. Dealer balanced all 4 times twice. Finally, they did road force test and replaced 3 out of the 4 tires. So far, no more noise and vibrations. *Crossing fingers*

I have the same issues. The tires have been rebalanced and rotated every 5000 miles. I will not replace the Michelins with Michelins. I will either go to Continentals or BF Goodrich KO2's. I put KO2's on my Tundra, they are a quieter on the highway than the Michelins and no comparison in traction or wet.
