I’ll be watching this closely. I have the same year and problem. I brought mine in to the dealership with TSB on hand. They refused to do the work unless my GX was actually leaning when I bring it in. I provided a few photos from separate times clearly showing it. No dice.

well, my dealer simply said that this is normal for gx460 and the lean which is slightly more than an inch is within spec. I have since paid more attention to gx I saw on the road, almost every unit has a lean. It's insane.

dont know if this helps, but seen a couple of prado 150 series vids where the pump (located in between front and rear driver side BOF rail) can be adjusted.

Thanks for the reply, I did try to do that but the pump control in the recent year GX460 is completely different from the prado series. I went under the car and was unpleasantly surprised.

I havent done it, too lazy to fidget with, but thats surprising. I wonder where the KDSS pump lives then? All the prado 150 series vids show the pump on the framerail behind a huge shield, and then they adjust the two bolts for some reason.

The 200 series LC/LX are even simpler of course with a dedicated adjustment through a shield.

IIRC...the KDSS valve is off the frame under the rear of driver seat area.

So then im confused if the parts diagram is showing the exact same place as the Prado, I wonder why the OP cant find? The pump is behind a shield, did you make sure of removing that shield, to see where the lines go?

Thanks for the diagram. I think I saw something similar to this but I was looking for something like this one in the video:


when I saw something different, I thought there is nothing I can adjust. So I am assuming I can open up the upper and lower chamber by turning 2* and 3* in your diagram and proceed? Thank you very much.

Same location but I don't see any adjustment info in FSM other than bleeding of the system. I have read some state the 200 series and 150 series KDSS do have differences. This adjustability in the 200 series may be one of them.

I followed the protocol, open the valve 2.5 turns, jack up the car from rear high side, shake it and let it sit for 20 minutes. After couple of tries, I was able to reduce the lean from more than .5 inch to about 3/16 inch. Not perfect but definitely better. I will live it for now and decide whether I want to put a spring spacer later.

how is your steering wheel angle? Is it dead straight? Off center?

It was atrociously off center when I got it last summer, then the dealer did toe adjustment and it has been pretty perfect since then.

Treaty Oak Off-road is coming out with a solution to eliminate the lean. My dealership did the TSB for the issue which didn’t fix a damn thing. It leans on some days and not on others.

Makes me think twice about buying out the GX after my lease is over. Last thing I need is my friends making fun of me for driving the Leaning Tower of GX
