No problem....... After spending a few days with the Mobileye 560 I am truly impressed! Initially I thought the beeps would drive me nuts but that has not been the case.......so far. Immediately following the install the system beeped a lot. However, now that I am MORE cognizant of my driving behavior to include big brother watching, the alerts have decreased significantly. For instance, driving to work this morning it only beeped once and that was to let me know that I exceeded the speed limit by 5 mp - the alert unit emitted a short beep and displayed the symbol for "speeding" and "05". I have the notification set for 5 mph over.

I was looking for a collision warning system that would give you an audible alert and did not actuate the brakes. I stumbled upon the Mobileye 560 and noticed the company makes the OEM systems for BMW, GM, and Volvo. After watching the review from Consumer Reports, positive feedback on a Tesla forum, and read a positive review on Motor Trend, I decided to grab one off eBay and have it installed on my wife's Rx400h.
If all goes well, I'll have one installed on my 01 VW Golf TDI and my mom's future car. I'm a pretty big DIY and the install looks easy, but it requires proprietary software to decode the CAN BUS system to detect the use of the turn signals, windshield wipers, and needs a TAC dummy to calibrate the parameters. I'll have to get it installed professionally, but I don't have to worry about busting my knuckles or breaking any retaining clips.
BTW, Amazon.com appears to sell the Mobileye 560 for less than any other retailer I've seen.

I wasn't willing to incur the extra cost for a package just to get two desired features. I had those features (minus crawl support of course) in my BMW and before that Acura and before that Mercedes and like you, found them useful.
Cost of Mobileye 560 = $849
Cost of install = $200

i have a video cam thats sees both front and rear at the same time and will be installing on gx when i get it. Priceless if involved in scam accidents, made by i road and not that cheap crap on ebay

Your dash cam is made by "i road"? I do not recall seeing that company. I have the HDVR-150 built into the rear view mirror and like the covertness. I did purchase and test the Blackvue DR500GW wifi cam for a customer and I did like the wifi feature but I did not like the obvious look at $280 that could be so easily removed.

I've been looking at different safety systems and I really like the mobileye. I have one concern, my valentine one is mounted to the rear view mirror using a blendmount and I can't tell from your pictures if the mobileye would be in the way. I have attached a picture showing the valentine one, any idea if both could be installed?
P.S. I realize if you're using the mobileye you probably don't need the valentine one but I just like to be extra cautious.

Excellent thread. Thank you for the information. Every new driver should have a vehicle equipped with this. Then they wont learn to drive like me. 115lbs of highway terror. Kidding. I just drive faster than I should. Let's just say I'm very focused on making good time on road trips. Probably would not hear the beeping over my Rob Zombie/Metal mix CDs anyway.
