2014 GX 460 Home Screen Button Program
Does anyone know how to configure the GX so that the Home screen comes up when starting the vehicle. When starting the GX, mine always comes up with the NAV screen.

you can disable "auto screen change" in the general setting. you will need to keep it at the home screen before shutting the car off so that the next start up will be at the Home screen again.

Sanf, I tried exactly what you stated in your post, but it does not work on my14 premium. I set the auto screen change to off, and then displayed the home screen, then turned off the 460. After starting, it came up with the standard nav home screen. Tried numerous times with the same outcome. My dealer claims it can not be done. But it can be done on the 14 4-runner. Thanks.

Actually, that might be right . I always leave mine at the radio screen and it always come back on at the radio screen so I just assumed it was the same if you left it on any screens.
So, I just went to try it with Home or Climate screen and both gave me the Nav screen after restarting.

Thanks for checking on your rig.
Hi:
Thanks for independently checking it on another GX460. I really appreciate it. Weird that 4 runner does it just fine, but Lexus does not.

What matters most is if you enjoy driving the vehicle. The GX460 and 4Runner get some negative reviews because they really are an old design and not the latest technology, but their reliability is usually better than any other vehicle. If you are buying used, the condition of the specific vehicle that you are considering is probably more important. Test drive it and test drive it. All used vehicle have additional risk. I love my 4Runners and GX460 because I can count on them in any kind of weather.
