Lane Change function / Auto fold Mirrors
Just picked up a fully loaded luxury GX460, Tungsten pearl with chromes. Surprised and disappointed that it does not have the LANE change feature that MOST cars, including my ES300h have PLUS the mirrors don't automatically fold when locking the vehicle. I had an RX 350 loaner and it had ALL of that. Wonder what the engineers were thinking???

i've never used the side mirror folding button. i park far enough away from anybody that i never feel the need to use it. also, i'm an advocate for "less is more". the more electronic components you have, the more that can go wrong. but, to each their own. don't mean to offend you...just trying to make you feel a little better

Clarification
No, I am referring to the ability to tap the turn signal and the left or right signal flashes 3 times and stops. Very convenient for signaling a lane change without having to worry about leaving the turn signal flashing forever...

Lexus Test Driver
My 2011 RX350 didn't have it but when we traded for a 2013' it was standard.
Personally, i use it to confirm if the RX is locked or not.
A quick glance in the parking lot and if i see the side mirrors folded, then im sure i locked the car.
As for the lane change, ( 3 quick signal) when changing lanes.
The RX doesn't have that as well.

I had that on my BMW X5, I think they call that soft touch for the turn signal to flash three times for changing lanes.

My C6 has that, 09 Tahoe has it, my company cargo vans all have it, 2003 and up. Our company 14GS has it, come on Lexus. It's just like TPMS, same as above, all the way back to 2003 but my 12 GX doesn't show individual tire pressures.

Tire Pressure
That's another Luxury "feature" missing from my "LUXURY" GX460! I don't get it

Anyone know how soon a low tire pressure will indicate on the dash? Having no spare tire and expensive wheels... I have been concerned with this.

Thanks, good to know what the trigger point is (assuming GX is the same). My question is actually regarding time, 28 PSI shows up when, two minutes, five minutes etc? Does the system check on the monitors in time intervals or does the tire pressure monitor itself trigger the system immediately?
I have been told by two shops that I must drive several miles to clear out the problem that I had before. My concern is, if I am losing five PSI per minute will I know immediately?

I'm not sure of the exact answer to that question but from experience it alerted me rather quickly to a tire that lost all of it's air within a 10 minute time frame. The light came on, I pulled over and saw that it looked low, I got back in and drove it to Firestone where it went totally flat in the parking lot. I assume it's a live system but I don't know for sure.

All Luxury packages are not equal!
Just talked with Lexus customer service re: Lane Change feature, automatic folding mirrors, tire pressure monitoring and was told Luxury options for Sedans are not the same as Luxury options for "trucks" aka GX460 BUT the "good news" is tire pressure monitoring is government mandated for the 2015 models...I feel better now😙

Government mandated?! First, backup cameras...now, visible tpms?? I guess the government doesn't want us to manually check our tire pressure with a tire pressure gauge anymore...Thanks Obama.
