2015 GX Premium vs. 2015 4runner Limited
Hello all
I have the same problem deciding
Loaded 4Runner with DVD headrests.. $44K vs. Gx Premium at $52K
Here is my dilema
I want a 3rd row
I want a 110v outlet
4runner
Has 4 12V cigarette lighter chargers + USB connect in the main cabin. (2 front seat and 2 in the rear cabin for passengers)
The GX has a single 12V charger in the main cabin! I was amazed to see this and dont understand why
3rd row on the GX is just a tad bigger than the 3rd row on the 4Runner.. (just a tad)
No power rear window on the GX..
Both vehicles have a 110v outlet- this one is a wash..
Ay thoughts or suggestions?
Do I want the extra room in the GX/3rd row? Heck, how would the kiddies charge their games/toys?
Anybody else think this is weird in 2015 that there is 1 12 V charger?
Thanks!

Go for the GX of course. It's a much nicer ride. I found the one charger odd as well but have worked around it. My 2 boys have no issues that I know of charging their phones, ipads, laptops.
I bought a

Not sure if this info was helpful but that is how I dealt with it.

Killer,
You can buy devices that will provide 120v for $40, or USB splitters, etc that could be run under the carpets. I wouldn't pick either vehicle based on the power questions.
The 3rd row question is of course something you can't fix for $50 after the fact. It sounds like both vehicles have a 3rd row, and you are just debating the size. I would think that you may want to pick the bigger of the 2. The kids are going to grow.
Since you asked this question in the Lexus forum, you know the answer you are going to get. If you haven't already, you may want to post a similar query in a 4Runner forum to get balanced input.

I thought the one 12v outlet was a little odd as well, but still not a deal breaker. I really like the V8 over the V6 and the towing capacity is at 6500 vs 4700 on 4runner. To me its just alot nicer vehicle for a little more money. I've had my 2015 for about five weeks now and love it more every time I drive it.

There are few reasons why to choose GX460 over 4Runner. I would not buy a car without an adaptive cruise control. Also a blind spot monitor is a must. After having LS460 for some time, I noticed that LED headlights are a big advantage. The same for Mark Levinson audio and inteligent high beams. So I plan to purchase GX460 Luxury with a Driver Support Package as a second car for my family.
If I would not need these features, I would be O.K. with 4Runner Limited. It also means that I would never consider GX460 base or with a premium package. It's 2015, should we still buy cars without such basic features as an adaptive cruise control?
