Used Prices
Hey everyone - I currently have a 2008 GS350 looking to make a switch to the GX460. I've been looking at used (CPO if possible) versions for probably the past 5 months...is it me or did the prices for used GX's go up drastically? Or maybe I'm just living in a dream world thinking I could get a CPO'd 2011 for $33K.

I haven't really noticed any uptick in the used GX prices, although they do retain their value relatively well (slower depreciation). With some negotiating, I think ~$33K (before taxes and fees) is realistic for a base 2011 CPO with higher mileage (55-70k miles) but honestly haven't been in the market since I bought 2 premium CPOs early last year. Maybe expand your search to 2010 model year or outside your city some. If your short on time, maybe you'll have to compromise and bump your budget up a little. Good luck

Used GX's
The retail price of these things depreciate less than any Lexus model. Earlier this year I sold a 2011 4RUNNER Premium package model for 75 percent of what I paid for it in 2011. Outstanding condition and low miles. Both of these vehicle are hard to deal with when it comes to pricing. Purchased the 15 GX 460 Luxury as a secondary vehicle new, rather than the high price of a used 14.

Thanks guys - good to know. I found a used 2010 non-CPO with 70K miles for $31,750 after negotiation. According to Truecar it appears to be a "great deal." I've never bought a car with that many miles or that old before. I'm usually only 2 years out and 30k miles max so not sure if this is a good buy.
I looked up the service records and they're all there. One owner, clean carfax...what to do, what to do?

I just hit 70k miles on my 2011 GX base model. I paid $40k for it with 45k miles approximately two years ago.
If what you are looking at meets your price range, I wouldn't be concerned with the mileage. I plan to push my truck beyond 150k miles (maybe 200+k)
This is why I am here with my first Lexus.

Thanks tecman - good to have a point of reference in terms of year purchased vs. price paid. I too plan to drive this truck for as many miles as I can. Love the ride and love the Lexus quality. I'm very tempted to execute on the one I found but if anything is bugging me right now it's the Sepia (brown) interior. Just doesn't look as nice as the lighter interior or straight black.
One other question, do you guys think the Premium is worth it with the adaptive suspension? In the long run it just seems like one additional thing that will potential need repairs.

Premium Resp
I wondered if I'd have any regrets going with a Base model too when I bought my '12 Base a year ago. So far no regrets. I don't tow anything (yet) so the upgraded suspension is not needed.
