GX 460 tranny cooler

If one does put in a larger aftermarket cooler you will likely need to relocate your horns. I'd also pay special attention to hose routing as the OEM factory setup I installed was obviously designed to prevent any kind of abrasion with anti-abrasion covering and hoses designed for perfect fit. IMO I'd pick up the gear that least gets you to the hose connections coming through the front area and then terminate your cooler to the the lines at this point. I wouldn't want to be running new rubber hose lines through the area this part mounts as it seems like asking for a future leak.

Cooler AT temps in hopes of longer fluid life and transmission longevity.
No US models came stock with external air cooler.. they just use the internal cooler built into the radiator. High trim Canadian models have one and it will also be part of the 2020 off-road package.

If you do any towing, it is recommended to have AT cooler installed.
I believe GX with towing package option came with it installed as well.
But if you’re not towing, then there isn’t really a need for it.

Looks like I blew my post away by accident. I haven't seen a US 460 yet that came with this cooler stock. GX 470s with towing package appear to have them though.
