Just got my 2019 demo lease gx460. I've usually hardwired my dash cams with the fuse box and ran it up. Any instructions on doing it this way? Hate busting up clips, is it better just to do the invisacord? Worried about potentially messing up the homelink cable vs just accessing the fusebox.
Invisicord is easy to install and remove. If you are careful ..really no reason anything would be damaged on install. Effectively leaves without a trace it was there since no splicing. I purchased a fused model as well.
Here’s my dash cam installed, I tucked the cable in at the headliner, tucked it in slightly at the top of the A pillar and ran it along the outside door weatherstripping, should I be concerned about the side curtain airbag?

Hard to say, but probably not. IIRC, on this car, the curtain doesn't deploy from the A pillar but from the trim above the door. If your wire routing doesn't affect that, then you should be fine.
+1 for Invisicord - seems pricey for what it is but you'll appreciate it after the 3 minute install - remove mirror cover housing , push invisicord pins into connector, replace mirror housing, attach camera to windshield - done!
Not completely clear how to install the invisicord in a 2019 GX460. Haven't tried popping off the overhead console, but from what it looks like just slide in the prongs to the black and blue wires in the white harness?
Yes it is that simple. I installed mine thru the back of the harness. I forget the exact wire colors but you will need to figure out the correct pins on the harness to connect your wires into. IIRC there is one positive that is always hot. I think that is the one tied to the homelink. I don't think you will want whatever you're installing to stay on 24/7 so I would look for the pin that is accessory hot (key-on). Sorry I don't remember the exact wires on my 2016 but if you wait until this weekend I need to install my dash cam and I can tell you the exact wires on mine (assuming they are the same on yours).
which dashcam did you get? i normally use an add-a-fuse by the footwell, but figure this would be easier. somehow this way has me more concerned im gonna screw up the harness.
I have a Viofo A119 that I pulled out of my old car. I also have the add-a-fuse setup from my old car but I don't plan on using it this time. I am working on a new harness that will power both my Valentine One as well as my dash cam.
