LTX MS/2 dry pavement braking performance
I seems to have noticed that LTX MS/2 don't take as much force before they lock up during braking on dry pavement compared to OEM Latitude Tour HP. From the tire specs I guess that would make sense as a much longer tire wear rating likely means harder compound on top of LTX MS/2 having more open tread design resulting in less contact area with the pavement.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Great tires
Best sets of tires I have ever had..
1st set was on my last GX (2005 w/KDSS), 70k and they had tread when I sold her.
2nd set was on my last T4R and they had 65k and look like 50% when I sold her.
When the Lats wear out, LTX for me!

I didn't wait for my OEM's to wear out, I put my LTX's on and sold the OEM's on CL. Make the GX even that much better.

Let's try to have some constructive discussion about this.
1. According to Michelin's own website Tour HP outperforms M/S2 in braking performance (though it's unclear how is that measured)
2. M/S2 has arguably harder compound compared to Tour HP
3. M/S2 has less contact area with the pavement or it appears to be that way by the looks of the tread
Please note that I don't claim that M/S2 brake bad -- I just think they brake worse than Tour HP. I mean Tour HP must have something going for them otherwise what kind of high performance tire is that?
I still think that M/S2 is hands down all-around better tire.

This is an interesting discussion. I've had LTX MS/2 on a Tundra for a while and they were a great improvement to the Bridgestones. I have the E1 load range though. I have noticed a couple of hard breaking situations where the ABS caught me off guard sooner than expected. We just picked up a new GX last weekend that came with Latitude Tour HP. I didn't think much about them at the time other than being happy they were Michelins. The ride seems pleasant enough but we are still getting the feel for the truck. I guess I need to hit the brakes hard and see what happens. The stated mileage warranty on the Tour HPs is 55K. I read some other comments elsewhere that made it sound like you'd be lucky to get 30K. Does Michelin honor their warranty on OEM tires? Maybe by then I'll be chomping at the bit to swap them out anyway.
