Default Remote engine start?

I did not find the remote start function on Lexus Website. Does it come with it?

I think all the new models are equipped

https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrive.../enform/remote

These services are free for 10 years

http://www.lexus.com/enform

I thought the remote start is free for first year

https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrive.../enform/remote

I think some have stated the local remote start option might be installable as well with no long term fees.

Any 2017 or newer Lexus come a with Enform remote starter for 1 year. I have this on my '17 RX350 and NX200T and I like it. My '15 GX did not have it so I got an aftermarket 2-way CompuStart system, works flawless within 500 feet or 2000 ft line of sign. It costs about $550 installed.

I had a Jeep with remote start and used it only once, when I sold it to demonstrate it. If you have a garage there is limited need for that option IMHO.

2010 to 2015 GX460's have Lexus Enform Safety Connect but did not have the Lexus Enform Remote Start.

The link rotaiva included is for the hard wired accessory that was either port or dealer installed. The positive
feature was that is uses the standard fob - no extra fob to carry. The negative is... that is uses the standard
fob - which has a dismal range, published as being about '80. Once you pay the $500 it is free forever. There
is a second Lexus RS for these models called Lexus Remote Engine Start + (Plus). This includes a smart
phone link that requires a subscription after the first included year. Fob works forever even if you drop the
subscription for the phone(s).

2016 and 2017 GX460 have the Safety Connect & now Service Connect free for one (1) year and the Lexus
Enform Remote Start also for one (1) year. New lower prices are $80/year for SC & SC + $80 for RS = $160/year.

2018 GX's and all Lexi get the SC & SC comp for ten (10) years and the RS for one (1) year. RS is now only $80/year.

All the LERS subscriptions enable the fob to work (up to '80), if you lapse the subscription the fob function stops also.

Move to Massachusetts, sit through weeks of sub freezing temps in March, with a detached garage and/or driveway, see if your opinion of remote start changes

I understand. :-) I've got 4 cars with 3 regularly driven. I normally throw a 120V heater safely in the 3rd one that is parked outside and used in the winter with an attached Wemo to schedule and remotely control. My GX stays in garage so isn't an issue. I've thought about installing a remote start in the affected vehicle.

I'll gladly fork over $80 a year for the privilege, though I agree it probably should be on the fob and not a subscription...but as I am in SaaS sales I get it--recurring revenue is the wave of the future

Default Remote Start with key Fob 2019 GX460

Was told during the buying process there was an option (to install) for the remote start from the key fob which we requested Well, come to find out the 2019 GX460 does not have that option... so very disappointed. We do not like the phone app which we would need to pay for after a year.

Yep thats what we were told three days after we got the car. They had told us, they would install a remote start fob before delivery ... when it didnt work, we called and were told oh we were mistaken.

This is an unfortunate reversal of Lexus luxury ownership. A simple key FOB function that I have on my base 2011 and now you are required to pay for this

This was one of the items that we told the salesman upfront that we wanted. A must have. We verified it with the financial person. Now they want to give us some mats ...
