Default 2022 GX460 Winter Wheels and Tires

2022 GX460 Luxury with Sports Package came with 19in All Season tires. We frequently head to Colorado ski resorts on the weekends. I picked up this winter wheel and tire set for the season and with the option of putting on All-terrain tires in spring.

Was wondering if no one change tires downsize. I changed the factory 19” the next day I took delivery to 18”. And I will try first gen 17” on to see how it runs. I like high aspect ratio tires for quietness and comfort.

I maintained the 30.5” wheel set diameter. If you have 18 inch wheel you can get

245/65R18 = 30.5x9.6R18

or

265/60R18 = 30.5x10.4R18 tires.

Tiresize.com has calculator tools and ability to compare tire and wheel combinations.

I also prefer high aspect ratio tires and plan to get 245/75R17 (31.5in) in spring.

My wife wants to complete dechrome and black out all the things on her 2022 we are looking for new wheels. We are between Raceline 158B 8.5" wheels with +35mm offset. Backspacing and offset always throw me off. Will these fit? Our other though is buying some f sport wheels and powdercoating them matte black.
How far out will the Raceline wheels stick with a 20" tire?

Got it done.
285/70 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3s on 17x8.5 -10 SCS Blaze 10s

Stock suspension.
I can confirm these tires run without a lift however will require trimming and BMC (coming Monday)

I also can confirm that SCS Wheels aren't that hard to cop... Like I said before I'm fully convinced alot of folks just aren't good with computers. If you have any amount of speed with these things you're good. I've literally seen t-shirts sell out faster.

that has got to rub like crazy?!? I have similar size with suspension lift and I still on rare occasions get rubbing on full right turns

Only at full turn. As far as I can tell its only against the body. The chop on Monday should alleviate every thing.

Other than that it was just plastic- cut and heated a bunch

I see on Costco they have Michelin that have M+S and the KO2 that are M+S and three peak. There is not much difference between the Michelin LTX(60K)vs KO2 (50K) price wise. Any other options?
Also in ATL. Lets hit a trail sometime
(heard good things bout the KO2S, out of those 2 I'd probably go with the BFGs)

I have KO2s on my Tacoma. Only 3k mi on the tires and I can distinctly hear more road noise compared to new. It's not loud per se, but noticeable. The KO2s are more aggressive than the LTX. The LTX will be the more quieter tire.

Nice rims. I noticed that one sliver lugnut. Is that a security lugnut? I bought SCS extended lugs, I thought those all needed an adaptor to remove. This got me thinking do I need to get a different one too.

Yeah its a wheel lock. I got the Gorilla spline lugs which work great and also require an adapter to remove, but I wanted to ensure I had at least one irregular locking nut to help deter any would-be wheel thieves. Gorilla makes some good locks and they make a few different 'keys' of each type, but unfortunately I couldn't find the particular lock that I liked in black so I've got one random silver nut on each wheel.

I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but I didn’t read all of the posts yet either.

Is there a way to correct the speedometer after installing larger tires? Not looking for the “phone” or separate gps either.

Thanks.

Default Falken Wild peak 265/65 R18 on stock 18" wheels.

Bought my wife a new 2023 GX460 and decided to upgrade the tires to give it a more aggressive look. Added a full roof rack as well and happy with the results. Next is blacking out emblems, smoking the tail lights and adding a step ladder.

Looks good, I also have a '23 and curious what tires did you go with? Any rubbing issues?

Also, what rack did you go with? I just ordered the Southern Style Offroad full rack, that looks similar.

Both of these changes remove the soccer parents vibe.
