Does anyone have experience fitting a 20x10.5" wide wheel on 2014-up GX? I'm looking at a set of 20" Lenso RT7 Concave and they come in 9" and 10.5" widths, both with a +10 offset. I know the 9" will fit with no issues. I'm curious about the 10.5" and whether or not the inner edge will come close to rubbing the suspension or steering parts. I think the 10.5" would look awesome with some 285 tires.

Motolex,
Where did you get those TRD wheels? They look great. Do you have a part number? The only 18" TRD wheels I seen are for the Tundra but, those are 5, not 6 lugs. Thanks!

Since the offset is the same for both the 9" and 10.5" wheels, nothing will change with regard to the position of the tire relative to the car/fender, when using the same 285/50-20 tire for both wheels. The only difference will be the wider wheel will appear to have more "dish" to it, and will weigh a little more. This became obvious to me once I plugged both wheel sizes in the calculator.

305/50-20 tires. Will they fit?
I know 285/50-20 is a common size around here, but has anyone tried 305/50-20? I have 285/40-22 on my 2014 Luxury currently and it looks like there's still at least 3/4" clearance from the fender wells when I turn the wheels. I'm getting 10.5" wide wheels (+10 offset) and want a meatier look without lifting. The difference in OD between the 305's and what I have now is 26mm (1"). The OD difference from stock to 305/50's is 38mm (about 1.5")

I have a 04 GX470. I loooove the BFG KO2s and currently have them on my old jeep. Do the KO2s distort the awesome Lexus ride at all? Do you notice any change? Thank you!

@motolex722 , did you ever get the 285/60/18 BFG KO2 installed? I just ordered some fn fx pro wheels and want to put some 285s but wasn't sure if it will fit. Nice GX I got the same color if it's the knights armor pearl. Thanks

Tire advice ...
I have a 2013 GX and the OEM Lattitudes are nearly ready to be replaced. I am at around 25,000 miles. I have read lots of posts singing the praises of the Michelin LTX MS2. I am, though, looking for a tire a bit cheaper. My Dad who is turning 90 has an LX with 4,000 miles on it and is no longer feeling comfortable driving so he is going to hand down the LX to the wife and I. Since I only put around 8500 miles a year on tires ( mostly vacation trips) and will soon have three vehicles (wife has a Benz), I am not sure I would need
Michelin LTX MS2's. I do not want junk though but we are retired and watching our expenses a bit more. The guy at our local tire shop is pushing Yokohama Geolanders or Bridgestone Revos - this would save me nearly $100.00 per tire over the LTX MS2's. I will most likely take the LX on trips and use the GX as my daily driver - albeit not much daily driving since retirement. Any advice? Anyone have good or bad things to say about particular tires?

I believe the LTX MS/2 are being replaced with the Defender LTX M/S. One thing I noticed on Michellin tires are the cracking on the sidewall. This is true on a friend's 4runner with LTX MS/2. So if you are not driving the truck as much, the cracking may be something to consider if you're the tires will on on the truck for a long time - with 70,000 miles life, it would be a very long time before you change them out.
The Revo are great tires. Very quiet for an A/T tires and do really well in wet and light snow. Both are A/T tires so they will be much louder when they are worn down. The Geolandar has softer compound and may wear out faster (and uneven), especially with our heavy trucks.
If you're not going with Michellin and have to choose between the Revo and Geolandar, I'd lean toward the Revo. I had the Dueller before on my other truck and liked them and the Revo are supposed to be better. If you are also want A/T tires, check out the Cooper Discoverer AT/3 tires too. They are great for All-Terrain tires.

Up until a few years ago, I would have always said Michelin. The extra cost seemed to translate in a tire that lasted a lot longer, but I've had some issues with the last few sets of Michelins (but Discount Tire was good about pro rating them towards a new set)
But if you are only getting 25k miles out of the set you have now, I would try something different.
I personally have had really bad luck with Yokohama.

Thanks for your replies. I have found that the OEM tires never last long. This was true on my 4 runner, Sequoia, the GX, wife's Benz and Dad's LX. Various brands but the ones they ship on the vehicles seem to be a "contractor grade." I have never had Yokohama before and knew little about them. I had good luck with the Revos on my 4Runner and actually got good wear and handling out of a set of Coopers I had once. I had a terrible set of Dunlop that came on a Jag - hydroplaned like crazy switched them out at 12,000 miles! Other than that, I have stuck with Michelin, but lately I am hearing more and more complaining about issues with Michelin. Not sure what I will get but the Michelin Lattitudes that came on the GX did not wear well at all.

I'm surprised you didn't get a lot more life out of those tires. We had them and got almost 54,000 miles. Got the same for replacement. If you haven't checked tirerack.com, you should. They have lots of great information/reviews, good selection, and excellent pricing.
