Do you guys agree with ChatGPT's comparison of these tires?

The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S, Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W, and Hankook Dynapro AT2 RF11 are all excellent all-terrain tires that offer a combination of on-road comfort and off-road capability. Here are some key differences between these tire models:
  1. Tread Design: The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S has a hybrid tread design that provides good on-road handling and traction, as well as off-road performance. The Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W has a more aggressive tread pattern that provides excellent off-road traction and handling. The Hankook Dynapro AT2 RF11 has a symmetrical tread design that provides good on-road performance and a quiet ride, as well as off-road traction.
  2. Tread Life: All three tires are designed to offer long-lasting tread life, but the Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W is often considered to have the longest lifespan due to its tough construction and more durable tread compound.
  3. Ride Comfort: The Hankook Dynapro AT2 RF11 is designed with a focus on on-road comfort and provides a smooth, quiet ride. The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W can feel a bit rougher on paved roads due to their more aggressive tread patterns and stiffer construction.
  4. Off-Road Performance: The Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W is designed to provide excellent off-road performance and traction in challenging conditions, while the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and Hankook Dynapro AT2 RF11 are still capable off-road, but are better suited for more moderate terrain.
  5. Snow Traction: All three tires are winter rated and provide good traction in snow and icy conditions.
  6. Price: The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and Hankook Dynapro AT2 RF11 are often considered to be more affordable options, while the Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W can be priced higher due to its more advanced features and construction.
Ultimately, the best tire for you will depend on your specific driving needs and preferences. If you prioritize on-road comfort and good all-around performance, the Hankook Dynapro AT2 RF11 or Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S may be a good choice. If you frequently drive off-road and prioritize maximum traction in challenging conditions, the Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W may be a better fit. It's always a good idea to consult with a professional tire dealer or mechanic to help you select the best tire for your specific vehicle and driving needs.

I’m investigating wheels a bit.

if I’m reading correctly 17x7 or 17x7.5 seem to fit with 275 /65 / 17 - no rubbing. does this sound accurate?

this all gets a bit confusing.

if you look above at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/mem...-bflanary.html looks like you have to work on fender liners. I have 31.5" (265/65R18s) and they don't rub at all. I think you should look at the tire diameter. If you're going to spend on fat tires, you probably should be looking at some type of lift.

Default 17x8 ET+25 Clearance

Are there any clearance issues with the wheel and the front suspension if I put in a 17x8 ET+25 wheel? I'm not concerned about tire clearance, I'm concerned about wheel to front suspension clearance. The stock wheel is 18x7.5 ET+25 and going to a 17x8 ET+25 will bring the rim's upper inner surface 1/2 inch lower and 1/4 inch closer to the suspension. Is there enough clearance in there to allow for that?

Roughly an 1.2" diameter difference. 3.7%

~24 revs a mile difference.

Should be ok for a temp use
It's an old post and I have no clue, if someone has replied to it yet... Are you sure it will be "ok" running different wheel radius on full time 4wd car? If you have $10k+ to burn then go ahead and do it temporarily. I suggest you don't make such comments/statements on forums, so people with less mech skills won't make such foolish mistake.

Found yet another set of wheels I'd been wanting - Titan 7 T-AK2 in 17x8.5 -8. They're approx. 22lbs per wheel.

Can someone help me with this. Will these fit my 2017. No lift. My concern was the offset. I’ve tried to order from my local but somehow they want 299$ a wheel. Same wheel. I also get points from work to put towards Amazon and eBay gift cards.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/25510830590...mis&media=COPY

I like the wildpeaks but don’t want to rub. Any recommendations are welcomed.

thanks

The offset will be fine - people run those on the TRD Pros all the time and rubbing will depend on tire size. The real question is - do you want to not rub with or without modifications? If you don't want to touch anything, run the stock tire height (265/65/17). 265/70/17 will fit with slight adjustments to the fender liners. Any bigger than that and you will need to make adjustments as stuff contacts.

I've got a 2019 GX and recently put some TRD wheels with LT265 /70 R17 K02's on it.

There was rubbing both sides, front and rear fender liners. I've massaged the rear fender liners back with a heat gun and those are taken care of. What's the typical method of moving/pulling the fronts forward some? I'm not interested in the ghetto tie wraps and eye bolt kind of thing either. I've got some time this weekend and I'd like to get rid of the rubbing issue once and for all.

Sorry for the poor pic. It was a (typical) sloppy, snowy, gloomy winter day in MN.

Thanks.

Method mr318 gloss black 18x9j offset18 with geolander G015 stock size tires did add a tiny more rolling resistance, but the ride quality and the looks are a big improvement compare to stock Bridgestone imo. I was surprised that the steering wheel not centered problem is also got improved. Overall I’m happy with this combination.
