Default Tires question for 2023 Lux with 19inch rims

The car came with Dunlop tires and after hitting rains i realized that these are the worst tires for wet roads I have ever experienced, dangerous i would say.
So after only 1800 mls I decided I need different tires and if possible 1 or 2 sizes up from the 265/55 so possibly 275/55 or 285/50 as the 265's look too skinny imo. i found the 285/50's are impossible to find so i'm considering Pirelli Scorpion Zero.
Does any one have any experience with these Pirelli's?
some suggested going to 18inch rims but thats gonna get costly i think.
Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

Going down by 1 size should open a lot more options for you. I recently ordered 18" rims and plan to put on 265/60/R18. I will let you know once I am done.

I've decided on getting 17" TRD wheels (much due to the recommendation of folks here) with some cooper discoverer at3 4s tires.

Is there anything I need to know about buying TRD wheels? Concern about knockoffs or weird sizing or anything?

Is there a way to find out what stock tires a build comes with? I'm seeing similar builds coming with bridgestone, others with michellin, some with dunlop.. I have one on order but hopefully it's the Michellins, but window sticker doesn't say.

I have purchased tires and wheels from Costco. Total package costs just under $2000. Happy with it. Size I get is 265/60/R18

After a ton of research and internal debate I moved off of my stock wheels and tires on my 2018 and into some 17" matte black TRD wheels and the brand new Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail tires (they replaced the at3 4s). I went with 265/70/17 and no issue with rub at all. I think this might be the perfect combo for those who don't want to do any modification but still want to be as capable as possible in all conditions.

So far it rides better on the road than the highway tire I had previously while still looking rugged and tough with some added capability in snow, rain and off road. Super happy with my choice so far.

No. On Premium/Premium Plus/Blackline models with 18" wheels, it varied day to day at the factory whether they were installing Bridgestone or Michelin, and np rhyme or reason, just depending on what was available that day.

Only way to tell is actually look at photos of the specific on you're interested in, or ask the dealer. No other way.

The Sport/Luxury models with 19" only come with the terrible Dunlops, and no variation.

These are the worst, and ride the worst too. Go to a 255/60 which opens up far more choices, or a 275/55 which also has more choices.

275/55 there's a Pirelly Sport AS3 that gets great reviews, and is a newer tire. Even in the 255/60, there's a Vredestein and the same Pirelli that in actual dimensions, is still wider than the 265 Dunlop and will look a bit blockier.

Has anyone used the Firestone Winterforce, on a 460, specifically in LT265/70R18?

I did look around, but my Search-Fu seems to be off.
