Is any one there running these 17" Toyota black and chrome wheels on black GX? Here's my rendering.. A real photo of them out there would be very helpful.
thanks in advance
Not a black one but I think you get the idea. Post #952 of this thread
Got around to mounting the tires today I went with SL load range Nitto Ridge Grappler 265/70/17 on Enkei RPT1 17x9 wheels 0 offset. Just the perfect amount of poke I was looking for. The new wheels weigh 24lbs. I weighed the OEM 19" sport wheels I took off and those weighed 34lbs so a substantial saving switching to the new wheels. The Nitto tires weighed 7lbs more than the Grandtrek tires I took off but still with the new wheel/tire setup I saw a saving of 3lbs rotational mass per hub. Currently running stock suspension and have removed the front mud flap and trimmed the area where the side steps are currently no rubbing.
I want those wheels. Did you have to use hubcentric rings? Tirerack says these rims wont fit a GX.

I didn't need hub centric rings as the bore and bolt pattern fit the GX perfect. I guess the guy you talked to at Tire Rack didn't know what he was talking about.

This is exactly what I'm going to do for my White 2016 460. I was concerned about the Glossy look. I was thinking Satin black. Looks good!! You made me settle on this setup.

No rubbing issues, no spacers, no lift, no wheel well changes
Fills the wheel well nicely while retaining close to stock handling
I personally like it better with a bit firmer of a ride, less floaty feeling
Noise change is not noticeable (always ran BFG KO2 on previous subs and trucks, been very happy with those, also happy with the Falken so far and a 55k warranty so well see)
Went back and forth with sizing, offsets, backspacing etc and my head was about to explode....kept it simple and happy I did
GX is brand new so i can get more creative down the road with lift, sliders, rims etc when she's a little older and ready to get beat on off road
