They should hold up really well. Powder coating bonds really well with the surface vs. the plastic dip stuff that peels off pretty easy. The caps had to be painted as they are plastic but they look pretty seamless!
Here's a couple pics of my wheels on my 2015 GX460 before I traded it in. I have these wheels for sale if anyone is interested. They are in like new condition with less than 5k miles. I paid $2200 for the wheels from discount tire (have receipt) plus the toyos were almost $1k. Shoot me a PM

You should be good with your powder coating… My wheels were powder coated & I have had no issues that I can think of... but I also just sold my GX but I'm missing it daily... might buy another 1 just to throw my wheels back on...

Kool wheels. Who makes those wheels and what size did u use?
After over a year determining what look I wanted for my GX I'm happy to say I found the size and offset I was after. 20x8 (+30)
<br >reps with BFG 275/55/20 ATs and Spidertrax spacers.. Rides awesome, better than the stickers comfort and noise-wise..

I need that wheel well trim piece. This past weekend while visiting in-laws, we came back from golf and my in-law opened his door on my GX. It was very close to missing altogether, but caught the top of the wheel well and put a tiny dent there. Is that an aftermarket item?

Sorry it took me a couple of days to respond, been a crazy week... The wheels are Modena wheels Diamond edition were originally polished metal, had the wheels Powder Coated Size: 22X9.5" +30MM OFFSET Lexus domed gel center caps... 285/40-22 Yokohama Parada Spec-x :2 I have a friend who is the owner of a local mod shop who's worked on all of my vehicles for years & he was telling me about some wheels on sale from this wheel vender on the west coast, a good deal, etc & this wheel was one of them... they look excellent & never had a problem, hence me thinking about buying another GX...

Looking at buying some A/T tires. I only do light off road: Dirt trails, minimal snow during ski season, and some camping excursions. I partly want a/t's for the peace of mind on more rugged trails and for the more aggressive look. Any recommendations? I am looking at the Continental terraincontact at & the Goodyear wrangler adventure w/ Kevlar. Looking for a more comfortable on road experience since that's where most of my time would be spent. Looking for any tips from people who have any a/t's they like and how they ride. I am open to other models.
Thanks
I'm probably going to give the Cooper AT3's a shot next time around on the GX. I have ContiExtremeContacts on my car for what it worth and I'd get another set of those.
I had Wrangler Silient Armor on my previous truck a few years ago and I think they were very good tires. They were a bit loud after worn down, like most AT tires. But their wet traction is really good.
The last set of AT tires I had was Cooper AT/3. Really nice tires, deep thread, good sipes, very quiet, probably the quietest AT tires I’ve had. They were really good in the rain and snow after the recorded raining season we had in Nor Ca. One thing was they balanced really well.
They are on my list of tires to get for the GX next year, along with the Falken Wildpeak AT3/W. I’m leaning toward The Wildpeak because I just want to try something new. I heard really good things about them too.
Just put 265/65/18 BFG AT KO2's (31.56" diameter) on my 2015 GX 460 and I can confirm that they do not rub, even when going over bumps with a sharp turn (I know there was some confusion on the site as to whether or not they rub).
I have run several sets of the cooper AT3's. Not on the GX but on an F-150 and a couple of Grand Cherokee's. I really like those tires. they are rugged, versatile and also handle acceptably well. Pretty good in snow, good in rocky terrain, pretty decent in water etc. Mileage was pretty good as well. The only down side, they can be a bit noisy.
