Anyone running the TRD Pro 4Runner wheels on their GX460?
I know I've seen one or two members here post photos of their car, but I'm not sure how active they are on these boards as I haven't been able to get responses to PM's or thread replies I've sent. So I thought I'd ask if anyone else here is running the following TRD Pro 4Runner wheels--if so, I'd love to hear your comments/thoughts! Here's the link to the specs, and a photo below: TRD Pro 4Runner Wheels
I love the look and I'd definitely put some aggressive tires on, but I'm not sure about going down in width to a 7" rim from the stock 7.5" width. Any reason I should stay away because of this? Also, while the offset is different, I think the rim width would probably have them out just a bit further than the stocks do in the wheel wells.
I picked up a used set for a good price and will be wrapping them with 285/75/17 Ridge Grapplers. I will post up some pictures once I get them Mounted.

Thanks @HitchCrack! Please do share some photos of those rims with the Grapplers! I’m considering those or thinking of going with some BFG KM3s.
OEM Graphite PTR2035110. BFG K02 265/70/R17. No lift. Only rubs on one screw located on inner plastic fender liner. Heat gun massaged the screw inward and no rubbing whatsoever.

Got the TRD wheels and new Nitto Ridge Grapplers mounted and installed today. I picked up one more from Ebay and it should be here next week for the spare tire. I am digging the Black on Black thing I got going on. I am tempted to look for an F-Sport grill or painting the one I already have to remove the shinny on the front end. Would be nice to find some headlights with dark reflector portion to smoke those out as well.
How long did you keep your OG tires for your GX, mine are Bridgestone DUELER H/T 840 BW P 265/60R18 109H, for a certified 2016 with 28k miles? After getting a flat tire (given it was a nail), I found out that the dealer only replaced 2 of the og tires. The sales person lead both my husband and I to believe that the majority of Lexus Certified vehicles get new brake pads and new tires if less than 60% tread/wear was left. He also made it sound like my vehicle had gotten 4 new tires which he is now denying The last tire tread reading was in Dec. of 2017 at 20k miles. Maintenance records say DESCRIPTION: SERVICE - 20,000 MILES ~|~SERVICE - 20,000 MILES ~|~ ~|~20918 BRAKE WEAR- FRONT AT 7.5 MM AND REAR AT 8 MM REMAINING. TIRE WEAR- FRONT AT 6/32" AND REAR AT 8-9/32" REMAINING. I'm assuming they replaced the 6/32" tires with the new ones and may have kept the other 2? Attached a picture of the flat, and if you zoom in you see that the tire is older and was from 2015 (something I didn't check the other day). Then on 8/22/18 (day before I purchased) the maint records show the certified "check" at 28+K miles. It says SERVICE: MOUNT AND BALANCE TWO TIRES DT# DESCRIPTION: MOUNT AND BALANCE TWO TIRES DT# ~|~MOUNT AND BALANCE TWO TIRES DT# (anyone know what DT# means?). Then it says PERFORM FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT ~|~PERFORM FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT ~|~COMPLETED FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT ~|~28691 150. Is it unusual that for this type of inspection (which they brag so much about) they don't provide a reading on the tread of the two tires they didn't replace? Also does anyone know what the 150 means? I would inspect the last OG tire myself, but they have it in the shop right now...fixing a few things and the tire. Originally they were going to ask me to pay for the replacement tire which I didn't understand, b/c A.) thought they were all brand new and B.) on my previous lexus (not certified) any time I purchased new tires from Lexus it included 24-month roadside hazard coverage. After I told them that I discovered there was two older tires not replaced, and that one of them just conveniently ended up being the flat one, they agreed to replace the flat at no cost as "courtesy." Originally they were going to try and make me pay half. Should I just be happy and walk away? I am struggling b/c now it's bugging me that I feel mislead and that they should have replaced ALL tires. Is that unrealistic? This is my first certified Lexus purchase and I was justifying the $3k-$4k extra sticker price over a non-certified one with 13k miles b/c I was told I was getting all these "extras" in addition to the additional bumper to bumper warranty. HELP!! I'm a chick who knows very little about cars. I thought I would have had a better experience at a Lexus dealership, even if buying a used car. Just so disappointed since I have the WORST luck with tires in the last few months. Thank you thank you in advance!
I have the original tires on my 2015, but they are the Michelin ones and currently have 33k miles and are about 6/10. If you can prove that the dealer only swapped out 2 tires, and are mismatched you might have an argument (check the tire's manufacturer date code) since you're supposed to replace all 4 tires at once on a AWD vehicle. But if this is a damaged tire due to a nail or whatever, you may be on your own anyways. Hope your luck changes for the better.
The Bridgestone's suck. Mine lasted just under 22K from new, and I put Michelin Defenders on. They are at 6/32 with over 72K miles on the ODO now. Great tire.
My CPO came with 4 brand new Michelin Latitude HP tires. These are rated for 70K miles. I could tell those are brand new cause the way they looked at felt by touching with hands. I checked all 4 tires.
Also, by looking at your tire valve cap, it appears that they put simple air in the tires? Mine came with nitrogen fill with green caps saying N2. Not sure if it a standard features with GXs from the dealer. N2 is less susceptible to changing pressure with temp fluctuations.
