These look pretty awesome! I like the flush look with the body.

Figured I'd post here rather than starting a new thread. I'm about to swap my OEM chrome wheels for OEM painted wheels and add new Michelins at the same time. While I'm in there, I got 4 new OEM Denso TPMS since the ones now are 8 years old or so. Discount Tire should be able to program the new sensors, correct? My TS cable died (one of the pins in the USB end peeled up from heat exposure in the garage) and I'm hesitant to order anything from China for the foreseeable future.

Not sure about any one else, but the OEM chrome wheels are nice but mine are flaking pretty horribly now. I like the look, but with the flaking, they look awful up close. I'm looking forward to the Michelin upgrade too. The Cooper Discoverers that are on there now have been fine, but a bit overkill for what we do with the GX and they are a touch loud on the freeway.

IMO: They shouldn’t have a problem programming the new sensors.

That's what I figured. I'll update the post once it's all done. Uncle Sam needs to hurry up with our tax return.

@Romanova
Just to give you the confirmation, our stores would be happy to help with the sensors and getting them programmed for your vehicle.

I hope you guys don't give me a hard time when I ask what the largest tire/rims/wheels I can put on without rubbing :-)

Aftermarket shocks, tires & sizes, and lifts are an area I totally defer to experience. Probably additional areas I haven't yet come to terms with as well.

A major thank you and from a future clueless inquiry .... on that note... if in doubt always question my posts... I try my best to be accurate but always a best guess

Pic of ‘Lil Landy’ as it is now.

No lift, Konig Six Shooters with terribly loud 265/70/17 Cooper snow tires on em. Rubs, will adjust when I get around to it. Nice that the OEM TRD center caps pop right in!

Discount Tire was able to program the OEM Denso sensors but it wasn't easy. They gave me a hard time about bringing in my own sensors and not buying theirs. Never mind the fact that I'm an educated consumer who did his homework and bought from a trusted retailer. Anyways, installed them and the light came on. I was told it should go away after driving for a bit but of course it didn't go off. When I brought it back, they scanned the sensors and each registered except for the spare tire. I guess it just suddenly died at the same time as the rest were replaced? I mean, it's 8 years old but seriously, what are the odds? The guy at DT assured me that a new sensor would fix the problem and make the light go away and offered the sensor installed for $45.

The put the sensor on and of course the light didn't go out. They had to scan and initialize them multiple (5 times total) times before it finally took. If I had to do it over again, I'd probably get the sensors from them, make them price match Amazon's price ($31 each), and haggle them down on the installation fee to half.

The Michelin Defender LTX in stock size is a great tire and I love how quiet it is. Much better than the Cooper Discoverers that were on the GX before. Should also note that the chrome OEM rims were about done. Lots of peeling and flaking of the chrome and a bit of buildup inside the wheel which was causing a slow leak on one of them. I still wish I would have gone with the F Sport rims or something else entirely, but this is my wife's car.
