New member, 2x Lexus owner ('12 ES, '15 RX) and may be pulling the trigger soon on a '17 GX. My only real gripe with the truck is the "set back" appearance of the wheels/tires from the fenders. I had an old '97 4Runner Limited years ago and loved that truck except for that same issue.

This thread has been awesome for ideas on what to do, so thanks for all the pics and descriptions. The GX I'm focused on has the 18" OEM dark grey wheels with the stock 260/65r18 tires. I don't want to get into modifying anything with spacers, lifts, etc. but just want to "fill" the wheel well both horizontally and laterally. Would a 265/65 tire solve that (commonly mentioned in online threads here and elsewhere) or does it need to be something bigger that would still fit on the OEM wheel and not require any additional work? Anyone have pics of a 265/65 from a "down the line" angle? Thanks in advance.

just realized you wanted stock wheels...Ignore below, although I think some spacers might accomplish what you are looking for.

265/60 r18 -12 offset. I hated the stock narrow stance, offset on new wheels took care of that with stock size.

Anyway I've been lurking the forums and just installed some 275/70/18 KO2's today, I had to trim the side step plastic and remove the front flap in the lower part of the wheel well; there is absolutely no rubbing. I have also ordered some ironman 660lbs Nitro 2-3inch suspension, should arrive in a few weeks.

This. Is. Beautiful.

I'm about to put some KO2's on my wife's '15 GX with the same wheels and I'd kill to have it come out looking this good. I'm a little hesitant to have to do so much trimming but the way they fill the wells might be worth it. That red interior is great as well. Nice ride

Don't want to speak for him, but pretty sure those are the stock '20 premium wheels. They're more of a gray than the silver before and they look great.

Posting this here as I found it almost impossible to find elsewhere.

Looks like the 18" F-sport wheels are 28.59lbs according to this sale post: https://www.toyota-4runner.org/lexus...heels-pnw.html

Given F-sport wheels are listed as 12% lighter in Lexus marketing, looks like 28.59/.88 = 32.5lbs.

2010-2013 Stock 18" Wheel weight = 32.5 lb.
2012+ F-Sport 18" wheel weight = 28.6 lb.

Default Biggest tire on the 2017 GX 460 premium

Hi looking to fill some unwanted space in the wheel wells. Do you know if there is a bigger tire option than the stock ones? Way too much space for my liking right now.

265/65/18 or 265/70/17 fit without any rubbing

275/65/18 or 255/70/18 fit with slight subbing on the screw for running board. (Easily resolved if you search “zip ties” in the forum.)

The question may have been discussed before, I apologize if it duplicates in the past.

If you substitute the tire size from OEM 265/60R18 to 265/65R18, would it make the speedometer inaccurate?

Yes speedometer and odometer will be slightly off.
bigger issue is likely if you can fit the same size spare underneath with larger tires. 1 size up generally fits depending on tire... above that not much luck which creates other issues to solve for the spare.

I'm switching out my OE tires for 265/65/18 Ridge Grapplers next week. I think that's probably the biggest I can go without any rubbing. I'll report back with pics when it's done
