I thought it gave the wheels a little more interesting look. The finish is brushed dark black, so it is semi transparent, giving a nice look as well. I cant wait to see these on the GX, in the sun.

How heavy are those things? Whats the cost per wheel if you dont mind me asking.
Got my wheels mounted. Here are some pics. Note in the pics, depending on the light conditions, the finish looks anywhere from black to gunmetal to a slight bronze hue.
Wheel Specs: BC Forged 18x9 ET0 (Brushed dark black finish w/ titanium exposed hardware)
Tire Specs: Falken Wildpeak 265/65/18
Suspension: Stock
Rubbing: removed the front flap thing and did the “Fender liner mod” due to rubbing the infamous screw
Those are great the lip is a nice depth. You can see the detail which gets lost with matte black. Nice stance and compliments the window tint. What color is your GX?

Powdercoated my wheels and got some new shoes! went with 265/70/17 cooper discoverer at3 4s, got a good deal with the rebate they had slight rub on bot front wheel well, noticeable when reversing but overall not bad, might look in to cutting the plastic liner
I finally pulled the trigger this weekend and put a pair of 265/65/r18 BFG KO2s on my wife's Gx. I was concerned about the ride quality and road noise but I have to say, they have been fantastic so far. They are a little louder but the Lexus sound treatment is pretty good in the cabin, and it's barely noticeable. They also handle nicely actually - less body roll with the stiff sidewalls.
We took them out to Talladega National Forest today for a ride, and they did great. I also think the look is really solid. The ever so slightly larger size and the broader shoulder on the tire really gives it a more substantial stance.
