...this past weekend when I was doing 500 mile drive, at times I felt like I was driving my GS until I look around and everything was bigger, then the feeling of driving an SUV came back at me again.
The bigger wheels/tires definitely redefined my driving experience. All of those 80+mph downhill turns no longer gave me the feeling of losing total control - the GX made those high speed turns as if I was driving my sedan. After driving a GX470/460 for several years now, it was my first time not feeling fatigued after a day of driving this past Saturday. I even went back up to Los Angeles (90+mile) drive with my GS and back to SD that night. Be all you can be GX!
Doing a little project on the GX. Check these out, TE's on GX
Nice - I've been eyeing those rims since seeing it on another member's GX. Can you share specs on wheels/tire sizes, etc. Also, looks like you did a lift. How high?

The Wheels are 18X8 +5 OFFSET, SPACERS (Spidertrax) OF 1.25", BFG AT K02 275/65R18.
And The vehicle is not raised, just looks that way with these wheels?

How are you liking the spacers? I've read in other threads that it's not great for our AWD system or the suspension geometry in whole. Also, assuming you're taking your GX off reading, can you provide any comparisons on how the vehicle did with and without spacers? I'm interested in adding spacers just to get the better look.

I actually only borrowed these to do a test fit before I bought the set of wheels and everything to go with it. The friend that I borrowed these from has a 4runner, and these spacers are the best according to the 4runner group. In a weeks time I'll have my set come in, will let you guys know how it feels and everything.
From his experience, because these spacers are hub centric, it rod much better.

Awesome, thanks Waymok. Last question (for now ;-)). Any rubbing issues with the new setup?
Hi all. I just bought a 2011GX. Overall I'm pleased with it, but I despise the wheels. Any suggestions? TRD FJ wheels look good to me, but I'm not sure I want to size down, not even sure if they'll bolt up proper.
Pondered a while on this one. Finally found some we like. This is my wife's GX with 20" x 9 / 0mm offset Ultra Baron wheels powder coated pearl white to match and Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires (265/50/20). It has such a different feel on the road now. Much better...
I experienced some rubbing but easily fixed it with a heat gun.
