Also some shops have a hard time balancing wheel/ tire set ups like that and only do a static balance that does not prevent all forms of imbalance and can create uneven tire wear. Also depending on your set up over inflation might have had your tires too hard to absorb the road. How much air pressure are you running.

Agree on balancing ... I always insist on "Road Force" Balancing with the larger and heavier all-terrain tires. In my direct experience ... unlike BFG tires ... Toyo / Nitto tires are really good at "being round" and maintaining roundness throughout the life of the tire assuming 6,000-odd mile rotation-and-balance.

Not being clear on the description ... the tires were balanced for 4-months ? ... and then the problem suddenly started ? ... and you re-balanced and the problem continued ?

Is it possible you "threw a weight" ... the balancing weights are "stick-on" and do sometimes fly off ... but if you re-balanced, then this is clearly not the problem.

Will Toyo warranty the tires. Keep your receipts.

Default Will these fit?

I’ll be purchasing wheels in the next month and was wondering if anyone has 17x9 -25 offset wheels with 265/70/17 A/T tires on stock suspension. I see a lot of people running -10/-12 offset without issues, but I couldn’t find any info on -25 as I prefer the poke of the lower offset. And I’m currently not in the market to lift the GX at the moment.
thanks in advance.

How did this work out for you? Looking to do the same to mine

I started this thread, pretty much goes over a bunch of people and their expreriences with tire sizes and what needed to be done with different tire types. I went with the 275's look awesome and all you need to do is replace the one bolt with something that does not stick out.

Appreciate the quick reply! I'm going for the 275/65/18 on my GX460 in the next week, thanks for the advice and experiences.

I just wanted to let you know I confirmed that on my 2021 GX you do not need any special equipment or Techstream when changing from winter to summer tires. Follow the direction in the owner's manual (page 477), through the info screen on the dash you can select “Change Wheel Set” and the wheels will be registered. Then follow the “Set Pressure” process (page 476 in my manual). Did it today and worked great, nice not having to rely on the dealer to reset the TPMS for seasonal tire changes.

One thing people forget is that yes a slightly larger tire can look better, but the wheel width and offset are really important too. If you just had a little less offset, the wheels will stick our further and fill the well more visually. If you have the same wheels and offset, it just makes a minor difference. Toyota uses a really conservative offset on the GX.

I wouldn't go any larger than 18" but 17" can be great with a lift and big tires.

Default FN f(x) Pro Wheels with 0 Offset

Can anyone tell me if a 0 offset wheel on a 17x8 wheel will poke out of the wheel well on a GX460. Im trying to get no poke, just flush with the vehicle. Im looking at getting the FN f(x) Pro Wheels with 0 Offset. Dustin at FN told me with those wheels with a 265/65r/17 tire I’ll get 1.25 inches out from where the factory wheel and tire sit today. So is that flush or poking out?

Do you have any views from the back or front. Curios on the slight poke you’re getting.

I'm running 8.5w x 17" Method Roost, zero offset on 285/70-17s Ridge Grapplers, it pokes out barely.

Your set up as described should meet your requirements.

Default Will they fit?

Looking at putting some 285/60/18 all-terrains to my 2022 GX 460. The question I'm trying to figure out is will they fit without rubbing?
