Default 275/70/18 fit questions

i have a 2010 gx, completely stock. wifes latest hand me down. got a yak load warrior on it, now looking to beef it up a bit down low...

anyone tried to run 275/70's?? skinnier than the 285/60/18's but 1.86" taller.

2nd choice is the 285/65/18's... 1.1" taller than the 285/60/18's.

also, been trying to figure out the preloaded spacer and bag trick options... is there a way to level out the front with spacers and not lift the back at all?

Jeff

This thread might help:

http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...a-VX-or-Kakadu

Sounds like a 275/70 will rub on stock suspension, and probably even with a small lift.

Thanks, went with 285/60... Looks better but not as big as I want... As far as I can tell, no rubbing.

Sounds like a good choice. I know others run 275/65/18's and they will slightly rub when lock the steering wheel on uneven roads.

Hey Knownbliss! I just bought a 2016 GX and I am dying for some new wheels and tires! What did you end up putting on yours and were any suspension modifications needed?

So, you will have different size tires on the car when needing to use the spare. Can the AWD system handle that without overheating?
