Rumors or Spy Shots of the 2017 GX?

I didn't read the link, but my mom and two sisters all have Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland models, (2) 2014s and (1) 2015. All of them have had problems. The dealership experience has left all 3 of them with a terrible taste for american cars. We went to take 1 of the Jeeps in for service (been to the dealer 14 times for a broken back up camera, this is not a joke, literally 14 times), they treat us like second rate citizens even though the car cost 55k. Afterwords we took my 2006 RX to the dealer for the cracked dash recall, they came out to my 10 year old car and asked if we wanted anything to drink before the service writer came over. At that point my sister admitted to regretting leaving Lexus and said she would never own another brand again. One of the selling points of the Jeep was the 5.7 V8, but when your car is stuck in the dealer for 30 days waiting for a back ordered water pump, you really can't get much use out of that Hemi. Luckily for my family, we own a few Toyotas for when the Jeeps are in for repair.
If you have any interest in a Jeep, I would recommend you take a look at this:

Now, do you still want a Jeep?
This statement is so far out of date its sad. Boosted applications have entirely replaced displacement. The GT-R has been proving this statement wrong for well over 8 yrs now.

We've had great success with owning two jeeps now. First the 98 and currently my dads 08 Jeep GC. It has just under 250k miles on it and all we've had done is oil and filter changes along with tires and brakes. Nothing major and it's even been hit by a deer that jumped in front of him one night while he was going 50 mph. It may look to be in rough shape but it drives great. We were actually looking to replace it with a newer Jeep GC but I may have to do some research this time around before buying. We are also looking at the GX to add to the family. It's either the GX or GMC Yukon.

The Lexus GX and the Jeep Cherokee are the only true, off-road capable vehicles. The others mentioned in this thread would choke at the thought of navigating a rough mountain road - or no road at all.
The Lexus GX goes off-road with abilities of the 4Runner and Prado.

Looking at purchasing a new GX460, went to the Omaha, NE Lexus dealer yesterday. Spoke with a saleswoman who said changes for the 2017 model include bucket seats in 2nd row, power folding mirrors. Wasn't too sure about which models (luxury/base/premium). She did mention the big refresh would be coming in 2018. I don't think that this is any indication of Lexus stopping production of this SUV.

Pretty sure the GX already has power folding mirrors. At least my 2015 did...

The GX has had Folding mirrors for at least 5 years. Toyota is now providing rear bucket seats in many of it's SUV's (4Runner, Highlander, etc)
I mentioned that the GX and Jeep Cherokee and Range Rover that are truly off-road capable. I might further expand on that thought by saying that the GX and the RX and Land Cruiser are the only luxury SUV's that will go off-roading RELIABLY!

I wouldn't take the RX off-roading.

Any unibody is going to do fine offroad, as long as off road means unpaved mall entrance way :P . Nowdays, even with the GX is that the amount of body cladding will be sheared right the F off the first boulder you see. If you intend on driving in a snowstorm, light muddy roads youll be more then equipped on the powertrain side. If you intend to do anything else, you need to get get the GX off the plastic molding diet.
