Im close to committing to a new GX. I'm required by work to have a new (or very slightly used 2015-2016). I'm partial to the 2010-2013 bumpers but can't buy those year GXs (too old...dumb, I know (it's not a good problem to have)). I came across this thread after some google searches and found that swapping the bumpers may not be that difficult. As long as someone with the older and someone with the newer both agree...it should be tit for tat with minimal costs associated right?
so, my question is...if I do end up getting a '15-'17 GX can I count on one of you guys to swap bumpers, grill, and headlights with me?
Im in North Florida and would be willing to travel a little to make this work. I haven't locked down a specific vehicle yet so I don't know what color bumpers I'll have to offer or what color I'll need.
as the title states...this is just a feeler and just want to gauge interest.

the most difficult part for the conversion is getting the lights(2014-2017) to regulate on startup(up and down) if your coming from a 2010-2013 and want the new headlights, you need to mutilate your old headlights and take the AFS module and install it with the new headlights, this way you trick the ECM and the AFS light will not turn on and the new headlights will go up and down on startup.
i didnt fancy the AFS when i had it before the conversion, its a nice feature but did not find it useful. the new headlights beam up REALLY NICE.
coming from a reverse engineering from a 2014-2017 i would not know how it would work out., i think you wouldnt have difficulties.
Any idea about how much you spend in total approx and if you can post the part numbers that will be great.
i spent around 8k total with new rims and tires.
patience is key when resourcing parts.
parts i bought used where fog lights, headlights, bumper.
i used my current sensors and afterthat everytthing had to be new.
bolts clips shield guards etc etc.
it was a long list but i was willing to go through with it and made it happen.
i have the list but scattered, i honestly did not organize myself in that respect, as parts where missing i looked them up and ordered them
i can search for the full list but it is scattered in different emails, but its do-able.

how didyou get the DRL to stay on at night coming from a 2010-2013 to 2014-2017. My drl turn off at night
Can you help me find the DRL terminal on the 2016 Headlamp? I'm in the process of finishing my conversion and could not find these terminal. how did you connect the old module with the new headlamp?
I had to do a straight wire. Because the headlights and Head light(s) wire are in the same compartment area of the DRL.on the bottom of the light fixture you will see a round rubber plug with wires going through it. Once you pool the plug and expose the wire thou will see 6 wires 3 for headlights and 3 for DRL. The green and yellow wires are the DRL wires.
