Just got our new GX 460!
Had a lot of fun deciding on colors and options and then reaching out to numerous dealers and then buying our Silver/black 460 with premium pkg, blind spot monitor/reverse sensors, etc. Ended up with a very large dealer 600 miles away so I used airline miles and left home at 630 a.m., purchased after lunch, and then drove home. A long but super fun day!
In addition to wanting to share with the group, I wanted to ask are most of you using regular (89) or premium (91) fuel. If regular, are you ok with an ethanol blend? Dealership sales were fine with either, but I want to ask around before landing on a selection.
Thanks!

I don't have it in front of me, but I think they recommend premium, do t they? Vehicles that are tuned for premium but can safely run on regular generally pull timing which effects power, torque, and throttle response. This vehicle cannot afford to lose any responsiveness in my opinion. I've found you don't generally notice 5-10 hp, but you do notice reduced throttle response.

Premium (91) fuel will cost approx. $1k more in fuel cost in five years of driving it at around 15k miles/year if the difference between regular and premium is 20 cents. To me, if I don't want to keep my car long term, such as a lease - I would use regular fuel.
But I also know this vehicle does not accelerate as quick as I want to when trying to overtake other vehicles on freeways; therefore, I would rather have the "premium" acceleration when I need to, than wait for the vehicle to gain speed and learn patience while driving. I also know these particular engines develop knocking eventually when close to having 100k miles - I've had two used GXs in the past and it bothered me a bit, my guess was, previous owners probably used regular fuel often times before. Although I always used premium during the time I owned them, the knocking at startup never went away. Now with my new GX, I tend to start the vehicle and let it warm up for couple minutes before driving it, hoping it will help the engine fully lubricate itself before enjoying each drive.

+ 1 "ONLY" doesn't equal recommended. Put whatever you want in your truck, just don't expect the best results/performance. With the ethanol added, I prefer to put the best available gas in my truck.

Congrats on the new GX!
I fill up with premium 93 at Costco. Gas is so cheap right now ($2.03 here) it's not even a question of which to choose for me. I think my user guide recommended 91 or higher then I read an article on gas types that said there is basically no difference between 89 & 91. In my area people are jerks about letting other drivers enter the highways so I need all the power I can get. If you see a claret GX coming down a highway ramp driven like it's stolen give me a wave! beep beep!!!

First, congrats on the purchase - you'll love the GX it is a fantastic truck.
There are a bunch of threads about premium/regular fuel. As posted above the manual is pretty clear about 91 and above for the GX. You can run lower, but if you encounter issues with build up and knocking later on, it would be on you.
The difference is so nominal and after you spend $50K+ on a new car; why nickel and dime it?

I have used E10 89, 91, 93 and PURE 91 and they ALL perform the same (at least I can't tell it). The gas mileage is always in the low 14-15 mpg in the winter (the down side of having remote starter..but she loves it though) and about 16-17 in the summer. One time I took it to Houston (900 miles) and it got about 20-21 mph down but about 17-18 mpg up. At 13000 miles now and the Lifetime MPG is 16.4 The 4.6L in the Tundra "recommends" regular/87.
Congrats.
Congrats.
