Lightbulb 2016 GX460 Heated Seat Mod.

Do we have any Lexus Technician in the house? How does the air bag sensor works on the pass side? We took the entire seat apart and couldn't find the sensor but when we sat on the seat it works. Scratching our heads...

my lord, you must have a lot of time on your hand.
I am guessing the sensor is in the floor and not in the seat itself.

It must be the way your device is showing what you typed.

The 2 pieces run you about $100. Comes with wires and switches. Labor was two of us. It was our first so took a little longer to take away everything very carefully.

No matter how careful you are with this back pieces. You always break on or 2 of this clips. $3 a piece
Thanks Tecman.

Default Few Questions for Angelslex

Angleslex, a few questions:

-I have the heated pad kit and intend to do this install. In your picture gallery here, haven't you taken the seats apart more than is needed to do the basic install of the heating element? What I mean is can't you sort of peel back the seat cover 1/2 way without completely disassembling the base?

-Also on that back plate, what's the method? I think there are 2 screws on the bottom and then it slides? Do you memember which direction it slides?

It was easier for us to take the seats out.
You will be able to do the whole bottom and back. Easier to run the wires.
Yes. It was worth it.

I did the driver's seat. It's do-able, but kind of a pain. My car is a 2014 base...These pictures might help...

These two clips are at the top of the back plate, there are no screws. It's a push-and-slide approach here.

Back of the seat with back plate taken off

it's pretty easy to install this heater without taken the cover off completely

There are some hog rings here under the seat, take a picture, it is a bit complicated
