Airbag recall performed but no dice on the free gas fill up. I needed run over the pass today so the car was clean for all of 30 minutes.

Got my notice in the mail today, taking it in next Friday. Hope it takes a few hours so I can get a new Lexus loaner to go beat on...

Out of town this weekend but I see my official recall notice showed up for me on Friday via USPS Informed Delivery
Mine took right at 4-5 hours. Glad to have that task behind me now.

Scheduled for next Saturday. Curious to see what I catch on my dash cam as my last visit to Lexus was fun to watch.

Fill up gas tank on RECALL REPAIRS...
The way my dealer explained it was that it was standard procedure from Lexus Corporate (not just this dealership) to fill up the gas tank after recalls repairs. It makes sense for the inconvenience. I wonder if dealerships ignore this to save money. I'm sure Lexus pays the dealerships a whole lot of money to do these recall repairs.

Going to pick up my GX in a few minutes, here is to hoping that it has a full tank of gas.
Was given a 2017 RX350 as a loaner... fun to drive with the sport mode and the 8spd transmission, but my wife and I both agree that we prefer the size/space of the GX.

Good to hear you got the gas fill up.
Out of curiosity I am going to send an inquiry to Lexus corporate on fuel fill policy with recalls. It won't help me but may help future recall owners.
EDIT: Decided to reach out to service director at dealership instead. Just curious...

Actually got a really quick response from service director.
He stated this has never been standard recall procedure for them and must be dealer specific. He did mention for me to reach out at my next service visit and they would top off my tank.

I didn't ask about this today and no fill up for me. I actually forgot and went in with 3/4 of a tank anyway.
