The fogs are bright, but no where near as bright as I want them to be (my hella microxenons are same size and put these to shame - but they are HIDs)...
I am guessing the stock fogs are about 1000 lumens...

i havent had my gx for a few days as it was being xpelled. Is there a led driver in the back on OEM leds, or is the driver somewhere else? I am hoping there are just 2 wires with led driver all behind the fog led.
I'm new to the forum - just picked up a 2016 GX 460 base. Love the truck, just wish I had the OEM fog lights. Does anyone know if the base model is pre wired for the fog lights? Can I buy the OEM lights and plug-and-play? Has anyone ever done the mod? I appreciate the help.
I looked up inside the front bumper and see a few loose connectors. The white one is on both sides, and looks like the male mate to an OEM fog. See pics below. Any chance there is a corresponding mate in the dash for a switch? This could be too easy... Any insight is appreciated.
Can anyone tell me how you turn the fog lights on in a GX460 that has OEM fog lights? In my old 2002 Nissan Altima, all you had to do to add fog lights was remove the factory light stalk switch and install one with a fog light switch from a higher model. All the wiring was there and it was just plug and play, I am curious if the GX is similar?

The main light stalk has another inner ring switch that turns on/off fog light, similar to most cars that have fog light. Do you see if there are pre-wired connectors inside of the bumper?

Sweet, I may give this a try. Yeah there are 2 connectors I can see on one side where my fender liner is cut away.
from all ive read on this forum, it cost nearly $1500 to add them. it would require not only the fogs but a new light column/switch on the steering wheel.
i would look for an aftermarket solution.
