With what you have tried, I would just have it wrapped in black. Here is a link to the parts.

Not sure if Gxxr is willing to venture into replacement and looks like the 2 pics here are upper and lower chrome trim damaged.

I was also thinking about replacement, but for the rear door trim chrome, emblems front and rear, and front grill, I bet it would be $500-$800 at least....

acrad the ad is deceiving on that part, it says new on the quick item description, but then it says nicely used in the long description...

I am looking at used ones and new.... not many used parts for these rigs for sure...

I wonder how black chrome vinyl wrap would look, and I was even looking at Tec badges also... just not sure where to go from here

Yeah.. that ad is deceptive

The front grille is around $285... and the grill surround is around $150

Mine has the same pitting/damage, and I suspect most that live in snow states have the same thing. At first I was bothered by it, but I've stopped caring...

Is plastic dip an option? It’s cheap and you can remove if
you don’t like or it makes them look worst.

Yeah, I know what you mean, and I could get over it if it the paint and the car wasn’t so nice overall....it is just weird to me that it happened on what looks like a car that was very lovingly maintained and cleaned.

I just got a quote for $300 for vinyl and labor to vinyl wrap all the chrome on the entire car, front and back and sides.

I will take good pics of before and after if I go that way.

Also, Jacket, do you see any issues running mid-grade (87) or regular (85)octane fuel in your GX here at a mile high and above because of the reduced effective compression?

Yeah, I thought about it, but with all the rocks on the road here in Colorado, I have seen some plasti dipped stuff that looks pretty bad very soon after application...

I had similar a situation and I used meguiars 105/205 compound/polish and it came out great no spots or dullness anymore. I started with the door trim and applied it everywhere.

Default Chrome Delete / Vinyl Wrap / Plasti Dip

Let's see those pictures? I currently drive a 14' GX460 that is Knights Armour Pearl. Not sure if gloss black, matte or some other color would look best to cover the chrome with. IMO I think the chrome makes the car look nice, but obviously understand why people remove it as well....so on to the photos!
