Default Prospective Buyer, PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi guys and gals, I am in the market for used GX below is what I am looking at. It a 2015 Premium with 20K miles listed for $44K. Do you this is a good deal?I have not contacted the dealer, but I suspect that they won’t much on the price as this is “Market Value Pricing.” I have contacted another dealer asking about a 2014 Premium with 25K miles listed for $41,600 and they didn't even budge on the price.http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...35014341&Log=0Also, are there any concerns with the 2015 model year? All I am aware of is the ‘leaning to the right’ issue; does this problem only happen to 2014 model?Thank you for your input!

Both appear to be well priced. Though you should always try to haggle and shop around.

More importantly, you need to test drive & thoroughly inspect both, make sure they have all the options you want, etc.

Make sure you check the VIN number for airbag recall. The recall is VIN specific, not year specific.

I agree with the other two responses. They seem to be good prices, but it is very rare that a dealer won't negotiate at all. Make a reasonable offer below asking price...say $2,000 less and walk out if they don't compromise. You don't know how serious they are until you walk away. But don't be confrontational because if they do let you walk, you can come back ten minutes later with a big grin on your face and say "damn, you guys are good!".

As others have mentioned the pricing seems to be good.. However, I am a firm believer in that if you don't ask you'll never know. If it was me I would make them a reasonable / respectable offer and see what they say.. Worst thing they do is say no, but if you don't ask you'll never know..

Good Luck.

Like other have said...test them both. I have the '15 Premium (MSRP ~56.7k) and $44k asking is Great price. I would offer $2000 less and I bet you they will accept. 20k miles is hardly broken in....still have lots of warranty left.

Thank you for all your responses. I made an offer like you guys mentioned. Dealer's reply...not in so many words...absolutely not negotiable.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your vehicle new. At $44K I might consider buying new. PM me if you prefer. Thanks!

Also, do you have the 'leaning to the right' issue like many others have mentioned? Thanks!

I just purchased a L/Certified 2015 premium package with just under 20k miles for 44g's. Dealer wasn't willing to budge more than $500. At the end of the day I am very happy because most 2015's in my area (SoCal) are going for upwards of 50g's.

The price you pay will depend on the dealer, inventory, investment amount, current offers, market, etc. I had a dealer not budge on a CPO GX for over three months. I gave them an offer. They stuck to their "easy price", dropping it $500 every two weeks. I went to another dealer just to kick the tires and meet the sales team. Gave them a low offer, they took it, for a loss (they showed me the intake paperwork). They wanted to move inventory, probably made a good sale on the previous owner (early lease termination). A win even with a loss on the sale.

Not at all. I bought my '15 on 9/15/14 sight unseen since it was scheduled to arrive 2 weeks later but since I sold my SUV already so the dealer was nice enough to loan me an RX350 (free of charge - and I filled up the tank when I returned..hihihi). MRSP $56.7k or something and I got it for $54,150. You can do MUCH better these days. At that time the GX460 sold like hot cakes....dealer didn't have anything on the lot except the service loaner....

Occasionally, it still leans to the right. I think it tends to lean when we have lots of gas in the tank. This is one thing I HATE about the GX.
